Previous version?
I too have used this app since it's first release and it's great. But.... if I could go back to the previous version, I would, as it had all I needed, and was easier and quicker to find the units I need. Any chance of a units 'light' version? Thanks!
Perfect and utilitarian
This is my favourite unit converter for iPhone. It is no-nonsense and utilitarian, so it works quickly and easily. If you're looking for an eye-candy unit converter, this is not for you. But if you're looking for a converter that just works, with the absolute minimum of fuss, get this one.
I had a few concerns with v2 of Units. Having used and recommended v1.x to everyone, I was excited then disappointed with v2. I wrote to the developer with a bunch of 'improvements' and they responded quickly to let me know the improvements planned for the next update, which happened to cover every one of my gripes!
At v2.1.1, I can't pick a fault with this app. It's the simplest, quickest, and most user friendly unit converter that I've tried — and I've tried many. One of the most used apps on my iPhone — especially handy for currency conversions when travelling and working out prices.

Wide variety of conversions, but how to input negative numbers?
I was needing to figure out -20degF was in degC, but couldn't, as the provided keyboard doesn't seem to have any way of inputting negative numbers.
Although it's very comprehensive, what's the point if in using it if it can't the very basics right?

Brilliant app, use it all the time
I have been using this app on my iPhone for a long time and it's extremely handy so I figured why not support the author. The advert is a small banner along the bottom, hardly the big deal some of the others seem to think it is and apparently there is a paid, ad free, version which I might pay for again to support the author. I like free apps as much as the next guy, but if I find an app handy I like to support the author sp that he can afford to keep writing cool apps.
Sometimes the simple apps are the best apps. There are probably other conversion apps that are as good but this one is pretty good and has helped me to understand it when I have to put up with the old measurements that the US use (why are they still using Imperial measurements?!) or when Phil Liggett forgets his audience and keeps referring to miles in the Tour de France :)

2.0 makes it so much better
Thought the old version was brilliant, but this new edition is even better. Sheer quantity of units available to convert is enormous, and ad support is understandable and relatively unobtrusive.
Love that it works on both the iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch, because the old version used to be iPhone only, and the ruler couldn't display properly when on the iPad.
It was one of the first apps I ever downloaded on my 2nd gen iPod Touch, and it has saved my mathematically-challenged bacon on a number of occasions.

Previous version more stable
Used to love the simplicity and stability of this app. New version however crashes regularly. User interface was never pretty, but it was simple and got the job done well. However the increased number of units and unit categories in this new version makes the user interface harder to navigate.
I don't mind the developer introducing ads, but personally don't like them so paid for the premium version. This crashes even more regularly, especially when reordering unit categories (crashes every time).
Disappointing - I hope the developer fixes the problems soon.

Bad update
This used to be a useful free app that did what it said on the tin. In the latest update more units have been included, and adverts have been added which I've no problem with at all - it's a free app after all.
Unfortunately what ruins the latest update is what the developer has taken away - the long list of units to convert is no longer categorised, making it basically unusable and useless in a hurry since you can't find anything anymore. This has obviously been taken out as an "incentive" to upgrade to the paid version which puts those categories back, but the thing is, there are lots of other conversion apps in the store that do the same thing, and after having this app ruined I've no loyalty to this developer anymore, so I'll probably just try something new.
The right thing to do here would have been to offer something genuinely better in the new paid version - not just rendered the free version awful.

Ads no improvement
Don't you love it when a previously ad-free app adds advertisements on update? Yeah, me neither
Easy to use, very functional
I use this app every day - it's that good
Excellent App!
Fantastic free units converter. Had it since the start of the Apps store and haven't needed anything else since!
