I have always been a fan of the Ultralingua French dictionary, and have had it as a desktop application for as long as I can remember. It is absolutely wonderful to have it on my iPod Touch, so that I can translate things even if I am away from my computer. I would have given it 5 stars for content alone, but there are some irritating things about the interface. After you search for a word, it would be great to just be able to click into the search field and it were automatically blank ready for your next search. (You have to click the "x" to clear the field, which is easy enough, but sometimes you do forget and you get something that looks like this, bonjourprendre. So, that would be a nice fix.) Also, it is easy to accidentally switch between languages and not be aware of it, which can be mildly irritating when you can't figure out why there are no results. All in all, I love this application and when the interface becomes a bit more user-friendly, I will have no qualms about giving it 100 stars! I recommend this for any French student, Francophile, or serious traveler. I have had a lot of fun with this app and will be enjoying it until my iPod dies!
