Beautiful app

What a blessing this app is. So good, try it.

The Best in the Game

It just works and works well. Well worth the money. This is one of the few examples of an app that actually serves humanity not just trying to make a buck. Highly recommend!

Laudate and Universalis apps

I had the free Laudate App for many years before I purchased the Universalis App. I now use both on a daily basis.
I was a Marist Brother Junior for 4 years and used to say the Little Office of Mary. Many years ago I purchased the the short vision of the Devine office and well as the Little office of the Blessed Virgin Mary . Using the Apps have made things easier.

Best App Ever

It's been several years now that I have this app. It's amazing. This is my favourite of all apps I have. It even has the reflection verses for each Rosary bead, and even some books included you can schedule to read little bits at regular intervals along with the Divine Office. I also use this as a planner for liturgical music at Mass. i can't recommend this enough.

Highly useful

As a priest of 25 years, Iโ€™ve tried many apps to use, especially while traveling. This one, by far, is the best that Iโ€™ve discovered. Iโ€™ve been using this app for all my daily prayers, including the Divine Office, and find it inspiring and easy to use. I love all the options, the translations, and the extra information on the saints. Itโ€™s especially easy to use when I celebrate mass and donโ€™t have access to an English Missal. I recommend it to all of my priest friends, and to the laity who ask me for direction on daily prayer.

Universalis - a way of life

I have been using Universalis for a long time & love that it is being constantly updated, both liturgically & sensitively. As a Permanent Deacon I am grateful that it has covered the whole prayer of the Church (replacing the need to hunt through 3 volumes of The Office, not to mention both Sunday & Weekday Missals). I generally turn first to โ€˜About Todayโ€™ & have learnt so much about the saints of the Church, which otherwise one would not learn of. Commentaries by Dom Henry Wansborough & access to books about the Catholic faith are a source of inspiration & encouragement to take up โ€˜sacred readingโ€™. By the grace of God, my wife is able to join me in reciting Morning, Evening & Compline prayer, & I love the Scriptural Rosary. May the Lord continue to bless Martin Kochanski & his team, and May many people be brought to a loving & close relationship with the Lord Jesus through your work.

Hymns and Canticle

Basically itโ€™s very good. But the words of some of the English hymns are utterly archaic and florid , stemming I presume from the 17-18th century.
Also, at the very hint of a feast, thereโ€™s a default to the morning prayer for Sunday of week 1, with its tediously repetitious canticle of the three young men in the fiery furnace. Please spare us this as often as possible.
Thanks, Brendan Byrne, SJ (Australia).

Great prayer app

This is an app that I use daily. I started off using Universalis for praying Morning and Evening prayer. But I quickly found out it has a lot more useful options such as all the other prayers of the Liturgy of the Hours including the option to combine the Office of Readings with Morning prayer, and the option to choose the two year or one year cycle for the Office of Readings. It also has several good Books to choose from for daily spiritual reading (reading a small excerpt each day) and Lectio Divina, the Angelus, and the Rosary.

Recommend to all

Use every day and so easy. Could not go back to a book but why is there such a poverty of hymns. Lent and Advent especially I am fed up with the same hymns day after day and the only option is the same in Latin! I am often using it in community with others who have the breviary and too often the hymns are not the same even when an alternative is given it is not the one in the book. Would give it a 5 * if the hymns were better. Sometimes for feast days and memorials, it is the same hymn when alternatives are available.

Great addition to prayer life for laypersons

If you already have a prayer schedule and realized you can pray a bit more every day, this is a great addition. I set my alarm for 9 am, 12, 3, and 6 pm (the first and last prayer is upon waking and before bed) as a reminder and if Iโ€™m not busy, which is most of the time, I breeze through that hours prayer. I always wanted to memorize the Magnificat and after a few months, I did. The book form looks daunting compared to this medium but Iโ€™m getting one anyway as a backup now that I know the order of prayers. The audio portion each week is probably the best part of this app.
