a great app
I’ll have to revise my rating, I’m finding that sometimes the key interface stops working although the keyboard event viewer in the hardware interface shows the interface is working and the correct character is showing when the key is pressed.
The only way I can bring it to life again is to delete it from the iPad and reinstall. Than set it up again.

Thank you. It seems that some recent iOS versions can have problems with hardware keyboards (this is the protocol mainly used in Morse-it to connect your external key). If this happens again, instead of reinstalling the app, you can try just closing it (not just putting it in the background) and reopening it. You can also try disconnecting and reconnecting your USB. Contact me at contact@pacolabs.com if you need further help.
Updated: Best morse training
It is the best, most complete Morse app. Period. Look no further.
Response from developer
Hi, I'm sorry for your disappointment. Rest assured, the things you like for morse training are still there, still maintained and there are still more related features to come. The updates did not break or remove anything. There are indeed new online social features available (which require a subscription to work), but they are optional and they are just more stuff. Online features, by nature, require paid subscriptions (unless they use / sell user data or display ads). Unfortunately, I'm kind of forced to find ways to monetize the app in order to continue to maintain and improve it. I really hope I'll be able to do that. Note that it is still possible to purchase the training/learning features separately (so without any subscription) for those who do not want the social/online features.
Decode not working
Response from developer
Once in the decoding screen, you can press the Help button from the menu icon at the top. You'll get some hints and tips on how to improve recognition (like manually adjusting the Morse speed).
Very good practice to regain speed

Thank you
Good but over priced

Thank you!
Tap problem
Tapping produces dashes and dots on screen not letters. Nothing in FAQ to help.
Response from developer
Hi, I believe you have the "Show Morse code" option enabled in the "Settings" screen, under the "Tap" section. Disable the option to show the text (which was the default value) instead of the Morse code. Note: Instead of writing a 1star review for the app, you can contact me directly to report a problem or ask a question. It will be faster and won't penalize the app 😉 The email address (contact@pacolabs.com) is either on my website, below the FAQ, or from the support button in the App Store. You can also contact me from the "Contact & Help" screen in the app.
Was Excellent 👎
"I have kept your app as a novelty, and I know most people don’t even use morris anymore.” I won’t pay an unnecessary subscription for an unnecessary novelty application. It’s kinda like a fidget spinner, because it’s sort of fun to play with once in a while, and it’s educational. So don’t get me wrong, because it was great the way it was.

Hello, Subscriptions aren't just for magazines. They are necessary for anything that requires continuous work, and for anything that involves regular charges (like web server hosting, for example). Just take a look at the application's update history and you'll see that since 2009, the application has been regularly updated, not only for maintenance but also to add new features. The fixed price you paid perhaps 10 years ago unfortunately hardly justifies the time required to maintain and improve the application anymore. The features you're already using are still accessible: they don't require any subscription and are still improved and updated regularly. So don't worry, everything you love is still there, and I'm still adding new basic (or learning) features (just like the start of support for the shortcuts application from the last update). There's just one new subscription, with additional mainly social/online features that will hopefully help me maintain and improve this application for everyone.

- Some applications require regular updates because much of their content changes, monthly or at least bimonthly.
I have a number of large and complex applications that are not only for phones but computers too, that almost never need updates. It’s because they were very well thought out, and written well to begin with. Eventually some of the apps offered some great extras if you wanted them, but they worked wonderful all by themselves. The one time expense of the extras varied according to their content or complexity.
Some were very nice, and I did purchase them. Subscription was never mentioned.
What’s to prevent you from changing your other applications to subscriptions.

Great app, but lacks users.
