Used to be great, now terrible
This used to be an extremely well designed, easy to use app. Timetables, routes, and tickets used to be clearly presented and easily accessible. Now everything is buried behind multiple layers of menus and requires you to sign in to your BVG account all the time to access your tickets (rather than staying signed in). Overall a hugely disappointing downgrade of an update.Show lessThe app got worse
1- The pathfinding algorithm got worse. Usually, I could put a normal house address in the start and the destination and the app would find the best path, including the section I’d have to go on foot to the bus and the connection to the S-Bahn. Now it just says “Unfortunately no connections were found.”
2- I lost my favorite addresses after the major update. I assume they were saved locally and the new app has a new structure so they can’t be recovered, but it would have been nice to have known beforehand, or add a way to save them in my BVG account when logged in.
3- The UI is… fine? It’s different and the usability seems similar. It’s maybe not as straightforward as it used to be.
Please, though, fix point number 1. It’s very annoying.Show lessDeveloper Response
Thank you for your feedback. Please simply set the maximum footpath length accordingly in the settings/filter here. At the time, the path was set to 500m, maximum length is 5km. The footpath has now been changed to 1.5 km. Sorry about your favorites, but this big change/update was necessary. Hopefully nr. 1 is now working again :-)Can’t add payment method
The new version came with a new design and it is really bad. The “clean” approach makes hard to understand what is currently selected and what will be changed if I click something. Also it introduced a new bug in the planner. When I chose my favorite locations as the start location, it always change automatically to my current location. Only works if after the first search I edit the starting point.
Edit: new version is buggy and I can’t add credit card payment method. The app doesn’t even reach the point where it asks for the card numberShow less
