Excellent App
For a device that does the same thing, you might pay over $100. This is a great addition to the iPhone. You don't have to watch the timer, but it's there if you need it. I work out to my music while having this going. The notifications keep me on pace and help me have a great work out. It could use a few tweaks, but for the price of a soda, you cannot complain. The dev even provides e-mail for suggestions and listens to us reviewers (greatly appreciated). I love this app, one of the highest ranked for my person use, and it's just cool to have a round timer on my phone instead of buying a standalone device. Vive le iPhone!

pretty good but...
hopefully an update is comming where you can play your ipod and the music will stop for the bell and then resume playing the rest of the round.....please make this work with the ipod...unable to hear buzzer when music is playing on the phone.....thank you
for Fighters, not Meditators
I almost rated this too low, but, in fairness to the developer, it does what it says it does. For those of us who want to do other types of rounds (like yoga or meditation rounds), the alarming sounds the developer chose to signal the "end of round" and the buzzer at the "end of rest-period" are much too jarring for doing quieter types of "rounds."
Since it was only a dollar, it was worth finding out what it could do, but I *** really hope *** someone develops a zen timer, zen chime, or some nice sounding bell (chime, tingsha, singing bowl -- maybe even the user's choice ??) with different numbers of rounds and lengths of time for each round. If you want a timer that makes it sound like you are in the ring, this is the one for you.
