This is just a quality piece of software engineering, I can now sit behind my drums, and record without getting up out of my chair to play back, I can mix and monitor what I have just recorded, but it does not stop there, its a total joy to use, and if you are serious about your music and innovative ways to make your life easier, then I am all for it, £59.00 maybe steep for some, but when something like this comes along, you really have too reach out and grab it, brilliant stuff!!!!Show lessrpb1966
This App is why I Bought an Ipod Touch!
This is a really great app! The remote control of my HD rig is worth the price of admission alone. Alex Lelièvre is obviously an experienced developer and even at a price tag of $99.99 I am sure that the price does not reflect the hours spent in development. The Mackie control emulation is also very cool in Ableton and Metric Halo's MIO Console. I can use my Ipod Touch to set initial levels from any point in the room when I am using The Metric Halo MIO 2882 as my PA's front end Mic pre/mixing processor! I hope this app will be compatible when i upgrade to Pro Tools 8 (I haven't tested it yet). But seeing as this app currently interfaces with PT as standard HUI, I envision no problems!deesto

I use this in my school's studio - it makes things so much easier. I can run a session on my own as I can be in the same room as the kids instead of needing a second teacher supervising whilst I'm stuck in front of the Mac. The fact that I can immediately play back what they just recorded without having to move them all into another room is great. Keeps the pace up, keeps them focussed. One slight issue is that some channels show pan at 1400> which is a bit odd, but not worth dropping a star for. Now if I can just convince the school to pay me back for it...Show lessMonk Bungler
This application is awesome!!!
I use it at the College I work at. It allows me to control Pro Tools while running FOH sound. I experience little to no nag over the College network. I can even write automation in really time. Don't listen to the negative reviews!Supersean579
Best use of HUI for the price
This is great. There is only one other company offering a touch screen remote mixing and it's over $4,000.
This has much use in mixing monitors live or a studio for little cost. Vnc is great but can't do live mixing fast for a event. The best things for me in this product are not having to set up a snake to a console. also letting people mix there own monitors. I know this was made for self recording but the live sound use of this is great for the cost if you system is under 5ms latency. Post on folabs page if we can access hui with more than one remote at a time if it can I wil be buying at least 6 more Copies.

No support from developer - Beware!
Kind of works in logic, but only some channel names show up. Tried to get support from developer but they wouldn't even reply to my request. For the price I would at least expect a support reply. Has potential, but needs a lot of development to justify the price, you can buy a frontier labs Tranzport for not much more which does the same thing a lot better, is supported and includes dedicated hardware.Show lessArt Vanderley
