Best kana app out there
Best kana app, the support also is amazing, instant reply and cares the users. Thanks.
Great
Very good app. I have been using it for a couple months now, and already know all Kanas. Makes learning easy and enjoyable.
Amazing!
I learned all my hirigana in just a few hours with this app! It works awesomely!
Great app
I love that this app is getting me back in the habit of learning stroke order and the kana themselves.
The only suggestion I would make is to be able to switch to the next kana from the writing practice, instead of having to go back to the menu and choose a new kana and then clicking on the writing practice.
Maybe even make a standalone writing practice section.

Really great! Best Kana tool on iOS.
One of the only apps that teaches both Hiragana and Katakana. The methods of testing are also very thorough - other apps don't test your speed or stroke order, and I've found both to be incredibly useful. You can also test yourself on Hiragana and Katakana at the same time, which is nice.
Being timed on recognition REALLY helps reading speed, and it keeps you conscious on how instinctively you're able to recognize characters. Likewise, being tested on stroke order makes writing a lot easier to tackle. (and by writing the characters, it's much easier to memorize them more thoroughly)
I will say, however, that using iKana in conjunction with other kana apps would be very wise. There are certain (very popular) apps out there that encourage memorization through association with familiar pictures and phrases, and I suggest using them as well.
A+ app.

Awesome
The practice exercises are really helpful. Very full featured. I would recommend a stylus for practices writing. I would easily recommend this app. My only hope would be for the addition to move the writing practice box to the far right or left to help accommodate a stylus.
Awesome for Anyone Learning Japanese
As a student learning Japanese is college, this app is absolutely the best I've seen. It covers hiragana and katakana. I love the tests on speed and stroke order. As an added bonus it even has a dictionary. Very thorough app. Definite buy!
Essential app for learning Japanese
And keeps getting better and better! Thanks.
Great app but..
First of all this is probably the best, most well laid out for learning kana that is out there. Gives you everything you need to know and learn about every hiragana and katakana character including pronunciation and stroke order. HOWEVER, the reason I gave this only 4 stars is because the app does not give the option to shuffle the flash cards, meaning they are always in 'a-i-u-e-o' order, which makes it hard for me to test my knowledge because I know the romaji order so well. If you added this function the app would be perfect!

Decent
I honestly wouldn't recommend this app for beginners starting out with just hiragana. It's very basic and a little difficult to use. For example, I can't even figure out where the writing practice is. It's useful, but there are so many other free apps out there that are just as good, if not better, for basic hiragana practice.
