At first I was hesistant on spending $5 for this program but I took the plunge anyway. An let me tell you this is the best app I've used. It took alittle getting used to as it was hard to use the tiny brush sizes to create what wanted but I had figured out that using the bigger brushes bring out the talent in me! This program not only let's me create beautiful images using my finger but it pushes my creative level as well! The best part is Ivan play back every stroke of my artwork like a video!
One recommendation is to be able to export the playback in avi or mov format so I can watch on a pc

This app ranks way, way up there in creativity and inspiration. The tool set isn't too extensive, but it does have everything you need. All of your "brushstrokes" are recorded for playing back later. Export your paintings to your photo album or save them in one of 18 save slots within the application. You can also upload your paintings to an online gallery (brushstrokes and all). Browse the gallery of some truly awe-inspiring art and guess what! ... play back the brushstrokes of the other artists in the online gallery and watch their masterpieces come to life stroke by stroke!
This is is much more than a simple painting app and well worth the $5 price. It will educate, inspire and entertain you for hours!

Awesome!
This application is so cool. With all the different features almost any kind of painting is possible. The only suggestion is to make it so you can zoom in farther to make finer lines. The opacity meter is too hard to use.
Zoom?
I've read reviews saying that this app has a zoom? I absolutely love drawing with colors! it is the best app out there, but I could make my experience more enjoyable if I knew how to zoom. So could someone please tell me how to zoom?

Worth every dime.
This is top notch stuff here. Kind of like my own little coral painter x in my pocket. And the ability to watch other people paint stuff is amazing in the fact that it's like taking art lessons and not have to pay.

As of complaints... Hmmm wouldn't mind some layer tools. And mabey more workspace or zooming in more like on the ds version.

Best drawing app that there is
I think this app deserves alot more attention then it's getting. If you are looking for a drawing app and you find drawing on the iPod alot of fun then you need this app. Check the online gallery first to see the potential of the art you can make!
Awesome- but not yet perfect.
One feature that would be neat would be to be able to trace over photos from the photo library on your phone. Also, being able to fast-forward through the playback sometimes would help, especially if it took a long time for someone to draw, and you just want to see how they did the eyes or something.
Other than that, a pretty cool app. The controls aren't too hard to grasp, and the ability to play back other peoples' work has really helped me improve my drawing style.

Well worth it
Same guy who made the DS homebrew app. Been using this for hours. Able to view how people paint their paintings is worth it alone.
My only issue is that if you stop and go to another app, half or less of your painting will get chopped off with black. So always save before quitting out.

Digital Paint Studio in my pocket!
I am an artist and this app really makes me feel like an artist helped design this thing. Just being able to see art being created in front of your eyes is pure and simple amazing. If you’re not an artist and you want to relax and watch a painting come to life in front of your eyes, this will do the trick. It did take a little bit getting used to, drawing with transparency, but after 30 minutes or so I was doing fine. I also love letting the kids see how artists create and use their imaginations. Great paint studio in your pocket and that is a life gets good situation.
