  • Good but buggy

The puzzles are good when they work but sometimes it takes 3-4 minutes to generate a puzzle and sometimes it just doesn't generate anything, even after 10+ minutes! Also have had the rare impossible to solve puzzle that the auto solve feature cannot solve either because the puzzle doesn't work. Minor annoyances, but need to be addressed.

  • EXCELLENT!!!

I have had a few other Kakuro programs and this is by far the best one. I love that you can tap on the total number and get the possible number combinations. Super feature. The interface is great to work with and I love that you don't have to keep changing from pencil to pen to change final numbers from your trial input numbers. This software program will go on my page 1 of my IPod screen. Don't hesitate to buy it, you won't be sorry!

  • Best kakuro available!

Love this game & all the options.

Only suggestions I have would be:
    - install with 1 of each level & generate next puzzle while user is playing. This would work around the 10+ minute load times.
    - could use some better graphics, too.
  • Good but....

Takes AGES to generate the bigger puzzles sometimes, 4 or 5 minutes on some occasions which is so annoying. General gameplay is great though.
  • Well worth the price

This is definitely one of the most used applications on my iPhone.

The app is flexible allowing you to create large and small puzzles varying in difficulty.

Unlike similar apps, KakuroX does not have a list of standard puzzles which are repeated over and over but generates new ones on the fly.

As other reviews mention, the largest puzzles take a long time to generate. The process also is taxing on battery life. But as long as you don't exceed 7x7, it usually returns reasonably quickly.

I have not encountered any unsolvable puzzles as other reviewers suggest. KakuroX is definitely one of my favorite time wasters.

  • Only one problem - but it's big.

I think this is a great version of Kakuro. Most smaller boards load rapidly and the play itself is not only easy but quick. I love many of the options for various help and game timer record. However, I keep running into boards without aaccurate (possible) solution! Please fix this so I can up my rating!

  • Good

Few bugs that really need fixing. But good game worth the money.
  • Makes bad puzzles

First of all, this application takes about 3 minutes to generate a new puzzle; then after you wait for the puzzle to be made, sometimes the puzzles have errors in them. These errors make it mathematically impossible to solve within the limitations of the game. And I know that I am not making a human error, because the application's self checker confirms this error.

  • Great app

After playing this game a few times, I was struck by how slick it is. It looks sharp and it plays great. One of my favorite features is that my "notes" come back if I accidentally fill in an "answer" that I did not intend. By removing the wrong "answer" all my old notes reappear. For my style of playing, I have absolutely no complaints about this game, the menu items, or functionality.I did have an occasion to contact the developer and he is very responsive; so if someone were to have a question or problem, I think they would be very satisfied. If you like this sort of game, you cannot go wrong with this app. I am trying the 9x9 "hard" puzzle now, and it does take a while to generate the puzzle, but you are given this reminder while you wait. For bigger puzzles, you are warned there might be a wait, but there usually isn't much wait at all. This is a game you can play again and again and not be bored. Just change levels (three levels of difficulty) and/or size to suit your mood.

  • Quite good

Although not usually my game, I thought I'd give this a try and was not disappointed. The game interface is quite good and easy to use. The number options when touching he head of the row/col is a nice touch. I've been sticking to the easy/medium levels as I learn, but so far there appears to be a noticable distinction in difficulty and that's good. Would be nice to see selected numbers clear your hints across the rows and down the columns. Bottom line, this game keeps me coming back.
