My go to radio station
LBC is my first choice when I want to know what’s happening in Britain and around the world. I’m a British citizen living in Canada but as a Canadian citizen i will still tune in to LBC most days ahead of my local news stations because of its thorough and comprehensive coverage. Plus I like to keep in touch with British public opinion.
My only gripe is the constant McDonald’s advertising that the station permits. Especially after discussing topics such as the state of Britain’s health and rising obesity/ diabetes etc. only to be followed by McDonald’s advertising their awful junk food which is not only terrible for health but also contains the meat of cruelly treated factory farmed animals and the eggs from caged hens etc.
Seems at odds with the LBC’s messaging no?

Still not good
Why oh why oh why do app devs constantly reset the state of the app after an annoyingly short period?? I can be listening to a podcast, get out of the car for the toilet, restart the app and it’s gone back to live radio! Why?
Also, podcast content search could be improved… if I start typing the exact first letters of a talkshow
Host I wish to listen to, I get less relevant results appearing first. As a software developer I know you have to work hard to make things this user unfriendly. Or, show recently listened podcasts in a separate list for easy access.
They are now heavily pushing ‘Global player’ for some reason so expect to see this app disappear shortly as and when the corporate overloads see fit.
Adverts injected into talk show podcasts!! Just stop this, you have already made your advert revenue when you first broadcast it. If not, at least wait for a pause in the speech so the advert doesn’t simply steam roller over the original content.

Missing an important feature.
I love LBC and listen a lot. However I really need/want to listen on catch-up rather than live. When I want to hear Ferrari or Kentish from the start, but they are already half-way through, I have to wait until the show has ended before I can start the catch-up. This is restricting and frustrating. What this app really needs is a feature like BBC iPlayer has, where you can elect to listen live or ‘start from beginning’ even if the show has been running for a while - and not have to wait for it to finish.

Need Overseas contact option
Great app and hosts! There needs to be a way for overseas guest to call into the shows,

Consistent failure to play from catchup
As titled. Common running failure from version to version of playback failing to play, as is the case currently after just updating. Also when skipping through ad breaks and therefore pressing the 20 second button multiple times it’ll often buffer for long if not requiring the app to be closed/restarted. Definitely not a data problem, it’s an app problem. During these times live radio works fine.

This app will no longer play unless you have an account with the radio providing name and all sorts , you can’t just be an anonymous listener. If you ever call the radio they will keep your phone number and name forever and as soon as you call again they will know who is calling. Their personal data collection is legally dubious and morally reprehensible. They have become too big for their boots time to give them boot -

why do we need an account now when we didn't need one before?
i'm Tiffy I'm totally blind and hearing-impaired and I live in Melbourne Victoria Australia! I love the LBC app because I can listen to my favourite presenters, but now all of a sudden you have to have an account but you don't explain why? It seems that every entertainment app now wants an account in order to listen to anything but I don't understand why you never did it before, because you didn't warn us until yesterday that an account is now needed and this is wrong how global player have done this! Completely wrong and not only that because I'm using voice-over which is a screen reader for my iPhone I don't know whether this app is going to let me create an account in order to listen to anything? You've got some explaining to do on this one

Love, can’t live without it!
I absolutely love listening to LBC as there is proper balance and the presenters (right now, most of them) are level headed...you get to hear everything from left and everything from right...I lived in London, moved to the US couple years back and was enjoying the app BUT IT HAS STOPPED WORKING on my iPhone for some reason. I can play Spotify, YouTube and any other radio but when I try n launch LBC, I get “Not currently available”... I tried deleting and reinstalling already.. worked fine on my Android 😩someone please sort this out

With the exception of one or two presenters, LBC are second to the BBC with their left wing/Marxist ideology. Once Nigel Farage was unfairly kicked out and Nick Ferrari became an apologist for the do-gooders, that was enough for me. I won’t mention whining James O’Brien who made me want to hurl...Oh!! I just did!!! Goodbye LBC, hello Talk Radio!
