This app provides a virtual phone number and cellular data, acting as an alternative to a traditional phone carrier. It allows you to get a US local number, port your existing number, and manage multiple numbers for various purposes, including business and personal use, in over 200 countries.
Key features include obtaining a US local virtual phone number, the ability to port your existing number, and managing multiple private and public phone numbers. It also offers eSIM cellular data for global connectivity, supports international calling and texting, and can be used for business number separation and 2-factor authentication.
The app operates on a subscription model with several pricing tiers. Options include a 1-month limited subscription for $7.99, a 1-month unlimited subscription for $24.99, and a 1-year subscription for $49.99. Auto-renewal can be managed in account settings.
The app description does not explicitly state device compatibility. However, it mentions activating your smartphone instantly, suggesting it is designed for smartphone users. It's recommended to check the app store listing for specific operating system requirements.
Common use cases include protecting your privacy when selling items online (e.g., Craigslist, Airbnb), using a separate number for dating, managing business communications distinctly from personal calls, and facilitating 2-factor authentication without revealing your primary number. It's also useful for individuals who travel or work internationally.
