My favourite weather app

Really clear and specific seems reliable too

Not that accurate…

It’s wrong more than it’s right. Long range forecasts are a waste of time; you barely get it right for the next day. At one month out, it can change ten times until it reaches the date.
I really like the app and it’s features, I just wish it was more AccuWeather. I can’t see me renewing my subscription.
I do Astrophotography and I need a reliable app to tell me if it’s going to be clear all night, and more importantly, that it’s not going to rain and ruin all my gear that is worth thousands of dollars. Insurance won’t cover me for a rain event. I know weather is hard to predict. It was your name that drew me to the app. It is its failure that will drive me away.

Beats three other apps for accuracy, Congrats!

Testing this for local conditions, against govt app, and two other independent apps, none of which have been reliable for the past 3 years.
So far, so spot on, for AccuWeather… and with humour! What’s not to love ❤️🌻

Very accurate

Weather report is very accurate. I like this app and recommend for others to use it.

Great but Push Notifications Need Help

I use this app daily and for weather predictions I find it very accurate. The one annoyance I do have is, there are a lot of push notifications which is great because they will alert me to interesting stories like volcanoes erupting etc.

However, when you select the push notification is just sends you to the current temperature screen for your location. From there I would have to figure out a way in the app to get to a particular story which I never do because it’s not immediately clear in the app how to accomplish this.

Would love if they would fix this behavior so that when they give a push notification, the action of selecting the notification takes the user directly to the article or alert in question. If it can’t, just don’t send those types of notifications. It’s a negative user experience and lowers my opinion of and desire to use the app for anything other than current temp and radar - it’s actually more prompting me to turn off my notifications bc it is always such a let down to not be able to read more. Thanks!

Using GPS even when set to ‘never’

For a while my phone seemed to be using it’s battery far quicker than it should and I couldn’t figure out why. After a process of elimination I found that this app was the main culprit. I’d been monitoring when it was accessing my location and so set the GPS location access to ‘never’……. But it was still accessing my location as shown by the little purple arrow next to the app in ‘location services’!! I really am not happy about how this app has been able to using my location in this way! If I set an app to never access my location, I expect it to comply and not covertly keep accessing it! Not only that but every time it accessed my location it also triggered the purple arrow for ‘find my iPhone’ - this to me is the most disturbing part of all this!! Why would it also need access to that?! Needless to say, the app has been deleted and the phone GPS location services are behaving as I’d expect now it’s gone!

I would advise anyone reading this to delete the app, and for the app to be removed from the App Store immediately.

Not bad. Could be better.

Generally the app is detailed and very useful.

However it sometimes errs. For example I’m looking out of the window at cold, grey weather with pouring rain.

The app says “no rain for 4 hours”!!

Love this app- Dependable data

I highly recommend this app! It puts all of the information you need for specific places. It gets into great levels of detail related to air quality but my daily go to sections are wind speed and direction and speed, the humidity the barometric pressure because I suffer from migraines. They also have a health and activity section (sometimes it does disappear, but they usually get it back in a matter of hours) . In that section you have the ability to configure configure key indicators that could impact your day. Mine is set up to monitor probability for migraine , sinus pressure, arthritis, flu, allergy. Like all data in the app it is real time. and it will tell you if the risks associated with each - typically high low or normal so for example if I wake up one morning and my head is throbbing, I go to that oh, it’s migraine day for sure or my eyes feel have a lot of pressure it’s sinus pressure so it’s a great tool to have an and definitely worth buying the subscription to get it. Of course like most weather apps, you can check out all the same information for an area you’re going to visit or where you have family but I love having all the tools I need in one place I believe that the app is $20 for a year and it is well worth it very well put together.

Used to be good

Eight years ago I had to buy the premium app to access the very good features of the app. It was amazing how accurate it was. But now… to access the same features I’ll have to pay an yearly subscription? If you’re willing to create new features I’d completely understand you making the premium+ but taking the old features from the users who already paid for the app is controversial.

Unfortunately I’ll be back to the Apple weather, which is being very accurate, with new features and for free!

It was once very good, but now it’s time to say good bye!

Glitzy update not as useful

This latest update certainly looks slick with more colour, dials, bar graphs and the like ... however I can not figure out how to personalise it to show the info I’m most interested in seeing! The real feel (with its new real feel shade) is lovely but I also want to know the UV rating. (and predictions for hours through the day) as well as how rain has accumulated during the day/night. Not impressed with this “upgrade” that feels slick but missing real info - I prefer the old system that I could configure.

And to add insult to injury I am now getting ads; despite buying the upgrade version to avoid this and when the ads pop up they interfere with downloaded aspects of the app!

All in all I am highly disappointed, frustrated and annoyed on multiple fronts! Very poor form AccuWeather - you are turning me away from continuing to be the loyal and promoting customer I have been for years!
