Hiragana Lite User Reviews

Phenomenal

Exactly what I needed to memorize those characters well.

Wonderful app.

It's easy to use, and very helpful.

Good flipcards

Good flipcard functionality, and it includes the 46 main hiragana characters. If you want the other characters you need to buy the full version (apparently this little detail escaped the attention of a previous reviewer who unfairly gave it a low rating). What sets this app apart is that it works like true flipcards, and you can independently select which cards to include in your deck. This is one of the best Japanese learning apps you can get for free.

Great.

Highly recommended. Very simple and easy to use.

Neattttt

I'm using the Human Japanese app to learn the language, and I'm not so great at remembering what each character means. This is PERFECT.

Although some of the characters (in this app) confused me because they were written differently. Other than that, I love this!

Awesome

Amazingly Easy to use app! Would like to see it expanded to other topics to learn about. Maybe European capitals for my son to learn with???

Scrambled please!!!!

I really needed something like this but was pretty annoyed when I realized that they were all in order!!! In the next update could you please have an option of mixing the cards around?!?!!?!??!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!????!?!!?!???!??!!!!!!!!!

Exactly What I Wanted

I have been starting to learn Japanese for a couple months now, and needed a convenient way to memorize the Hiragana. I've downloaded 4-5 apps from iTunes and was disappointed...until now.

This is a nice straight forward app with a great user interface. I had skipped over the full version of this app in the past because it didn't look like what I wanted. However, the screenshots don't do it's functionality justice. I highly recommend downloading this free version to see how it works. I like the fact that you can check the answer and change cards with a flick of the thumb. Also, that I can select a limited set of cards that I want to review. It is hard to learn with the other apps throwing all 100+ hiragana at you all at once. Here you can select the 5 to 10 cards you want to review and hit them over and over until you get them memorized.

If you are looking for a clean straight forward app to replace a paper set of note cards, give this a try.
