Was great.
. This app was always great. Everything worked but now I’m having problems with push notifications. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it a number of times. That has failed to work the last few times. That’s exactly the same as support. That doesn’t work either. I have sent a few emails off and nothing happens as far as a response. No push notifications and no support. I think I need to find another app which is sad because this was really good. Now I’m off to the App Store in case they don’t bother fixing 2 problems.

Notifications slow
Hi, I’ve always loved this app but recently the start of game notification for my team is 6 minutes slow. And when checking scores from other games it’s often saying game starting soon, when the teams have been playing for 10-15 minutes. I update regularly.
Getting ready to delete
This app is deteriorating in quality. Full screen pop-up ads at max volume that don’t go away when you tap the X (need to shut down the app and restart) is destroying the experience. Also photos don’t appear in news stories. Slow score and ladder updates. Meanwhile the official afl app has significantly improved. It’s starting to circle the drain as developers get greedy for revenue

Great app but quality seems to be slipping
I’m a long time user and fan of the app but for at least 3 years now the photo that appears in the news story feed does not appear when you click on the article. I sent feedback about this a year or two ago but nothing has changed.
Also, many of the pop up adds that appear while you’re using it crash the app.
Please sort it out. I’m a long time fan but I feel like it’s gone downhill a bit.

Continually crashes
This was a great app. Until it started glitching. Every time I open a news article the app crashes.

No ability to disable gambling ads
I’ve contacted the developers about this. They have no plans to change it. It’s an abysmal decision; even the official app supports this.
Gambling advertising is destroying Australian sport and debilitating Australian families. The inability to even disable it with IAP makes this app unsuitable for anyone under 18, which is a flatly ridiculous position to take.
Until this is resolved, you should consider this app unusably broken. SportsMate and everyone who works there should be terribly ashamed of themselves. If you work at SportsMate and you, like me, think this is an unforgivable decision: quit. Quit and make your reasons heard.

Footy Live review
I love this app and have noted its gradual improvement over the years, becoming more comprehensive. It's very well designed and easy to navigate but a couple of things could be improved. The first is that the "worm" in the Action section should never have its calibrations in anything other than multiples of 6 points. Other multiples are a mistake. The second is allowing the adverts to hide one team's score (until you scroll up) spoils the "instant" experience that the app otherwise does so well. -StoneRock50
Another improvement that would work is having a column in “Next Five” showing the current no of points for each team (Yes, there is room, especially in the last 5 rounds when the screen space grows and when things are getting critical. At present you have to flip backwards and forwards between “Next Five” and the Brief Ladder (or the expanded one) to evaluate a team’s likely position in the near future. Fans do this! -StoneRock 50
