  • Excellent

Very cool graphics. Only issue is a bug that changes line type back 2 default after I erase no matter which 1 I choose.
  • Very nice

If you like Eno's ambient work I can't see how you would be disappointed by Bloom, Trope or Air. They are all winners and completely worth the meager price.
  • Don't let the negative reviews turn you off

At first, I was taken aback by the large number of negative reviews. These must be people who do not like ambient music because I found this to be a wonderful app. If you like Eno's "Thursday Afternoon" and other slow-moving works, this is perfect. I am glad I bought it. Eno fans who bought "Bloom" will be very pleased by this.

  • Works for me

There is an occasional crackle in the audio. I haven't downloaded the newest version yet to see if that has been corrected. In spite of that - this is my most used "go to sleep" app.
  • Brilliant!

Though I've only seen demos of Bloom from online reviews, I suspect Trope is a far more intelligent and sophisticated generative music engine. The result is that it takes your input and reworks it endlessly if not literally, thus offering longevity and thematic variation. With its variety of tone, timbre, and mood, Trope is capable of producing real - truly beautiful - music either on its own or with input from you. Well done!

  • Personally...

I think "Trope" is great. Admittedly, I bought it more to listen to it than to "play" it, and for listening, it's really nice. Quieter and more low key (no pun intended) than Bloom, which is also wonderful. The Opal generative music apps are the logical development of and perhaps the best format for Eno's ambient work. They provide something that "Discreet Music," "Music for Airports," et al suggest but can't deliver given the limitation of their medium: evolving, "perpetual" music.

  • Very relaxing

While other reviewers are correct that there is less control of the music produced with this app as compared with Bloom, I still prefer this app. The tones created are more sensuous and the sound is more seamless. I found it to be very relaxing and meditative.

If you are a fan of Eno, especially his Ambient series, you will enjoy this app.

  • Not very pretty on ears

The random pop up tones are louder then the other tones you can paint with or let play. If the pop up tones could be turned down and the other tones made louder this would help. Also, I think it would be great to have controll, in Bloom And Trone, over the drone tones that are always on.
  • Different, but I like Bloom better

More trippy and fairly meditative, but Bloom gives more control to the operator. Trope has its place, but Bloom is still my favorite of this kind of app.

    There's room for both.
  • Fantastic

I loved Bloom, but this is something else! The best generative music app I've ever used. It's a steal at this price.
