This is a great tool for doing iPad based research on the go. It is easy to use but quite powerful. I routinely transfer files between my desktop application (Ftm) and GedView and then export the changes so I can view those before importing back into my desktop app. A great tool at a very reasonable price.Show lessLb

Have had it for years
This is a great and stable genealogy app. I have used this for years and never had a problem. My favorite feature is that my source details are all there. Really love this app for the road!Schnarpsel
VERY GOOD!!
So easy to set up and use. Opened my data from an email sent to myself and started using the program! It has a very complete instruction manual that, so far, has had the answer for ALL of my problem/questions.
Great to now be able to take my info with me and work with it on the go!Lmbie

Definitely the best GEDCOM viewer for iOS! I have tried many genealogy apps from the app store. I entered the URL of my 153,500+ name GEDCOM file on the web, and this app loaded the file quickly and effortlessly. I am able to search and navigate the genealogical database very quickly. Very very good
This is the app I was looking for - It does not require membership a special service like Ancestry and it displays my standardized GEDCOM data beautifully without requiring a data connection. It’s very flexible in the import options, and I really like way I was able to import only part of my multimedia library. (I didn’t want my entire scanned document library on my phone, but I did want portraits of individuals.)
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is there is no automatic sync. To share data with my Mac app ( GEDitCOM II) I have to manually import/export. But I’d buy it again.Show lessbocajojo
Great App!
I find GedView quite handy for on-the-go reference. The data is easy to read. Navigation is quick though it takes some getting used to since there's no Back button. Uploading new files is a cinch!iron0037
Impressive Family Tree App!
I'm finding this app rather useful for viewing the GED I exported from Family Tree Maker. I especially like the way it will show a map of birth locations and its search capability.LH5555
A Great Genealogy Aid
This is a great way to carry your family tree details round with, if you don't want to trust them to the vagaries and insecurity of the web. Simply sync periodically with a Gedcom export from your main Genealogy program. It's great!Gaspy1
