  • Underground NES movement approved

I have been waiting for a replacement for the 6502 emulating tracker called NERD TRACKER for years. It did not work on most computers, but it was brilliant. You could compile the music into tour own video games, or even put them on rom, and play them in a real NES. That was Michel iwanec's program. Joe parcel and his minion Andy coppess were disciples of Banamos. Memblers, did you have anything to do with this?

This is great, slick programming. Get it!!!
In addition, this is the only piano roll type sequencer on iPhone!!!
Worth $10. Got it on Sale though.

  • English documentation please!!!

Cool but really needs translation otherwise it's a lot of fumbling to figure it out
  • Got it on sale, here are my thoughts

I was looking to get this app but I didn't have the $10 to buy it. Then I found it for 99cents on Genius and had to get it. First, the positives. The instrument editor is fairly complex. It allows you to use pulse waves, noise, triangle waves, and even sawtooth and sinewaves. It even has an appregator and an LFO to rapidly change pitch and volume. The stretchy piano roll is kind of fun, too. You can jump to another measure by pressing the blocks in the sequencer tab. However, there were a couple negatives. The most disappointing one was that you can only edit 4 instruments PER SONG. Not 4 instruments at a time like most chiptune software on other platforms. This makes it difficult to create a tune with kick and snare noise. Also, the knobs in the instrument editor and the octave slide can take a little getting used to. The TCR, which controls the playback and open/saves files requires touching a tiny button. Overall, this app is fun, but I don't recommend it for $10 until they add more instruments/ the ability to change instruments on the fly.

  • Lots of potential

This a great little app with lots of capabilities, but it's missing some key features: the ability to export songs you've created, change the properties of tracks midway through a song (just add more tracks!), and providing a way to view more than one track at a time in the piano roll. I'm having lots of fun with this, but would like to share what I've created!

  • Killer deal-get it NOW

A small UI tweek made a MAJOR improvement for fat fingered frustration. Better snag this app while you can for a BUCK, it's a $10 app.

The UI still a little fussy for me, doesn't hardly matter considering what this app can do for the 8bit geek.

WARNING: you MUST reboot your device after installing or the arp won't work/will crash. This is standard practice for any music app-- but some still forget.

  • Wow. Can't stop playing with it.

This app is great for making music. Brilliant interface and a great value.
  • Worth it

This is worth every penny, it has relatively simple controls, and you can do a lot with what they give you
  • Powerfully Powered Up  

Awesome App that is very good at what it does. Only complaint I have is the small buttons are hard to hit sometimes. Expect a good but steep learning curve 
  • Outstanding

If you are even familiar with the phrase "chip tunes", you need this app. Very robust editing, great graphics, and loaded with potential.
  • well done, but not perfect

This is extremely impressive. Quite an achievement. HOWEVER, to justify the price tag, PLEASE update it to include "preset" voices. It is frustrating to have to manually figure out how to create a "bass drum" kick sound, and if I finally get it, I will have to devote one of the only 4 possible tracks to that 1 sound. Please make it easier for the average user by loading it with optional pre-made voices - like NESynth does. Otherwise, that app is going to win over potential buyers.
