I love this app. I really need to be able to send files I downloaded to my windows desktop computer via Bluetooth. What's the purpose of downloading files like program/driver files etc. If I can not get them off of my iPad. This is mainly what I use this program for. My desktop is not connected to my wi-fi network no the Internet. So Bluetooth or physically connecting my iPad to my desktop computer is the only option.
I can't seem to be able to download Itunes?

  • Problems after updates - Solved - Works good as before.

Update: works good as before now. Had to delete all folders and start fresh. It started saving files as earlier.

Started experiencing problems after a few updates were installed. Crashes and doesn't save files anymore.
  • Amazing app, just one problem...

With this new update, I can no longer swipe left or right to scroll through my files, I have to go back to the folder each time I want to change to a different file.

Other than that, this is definitely one of the best file apps on the store.
  • Great!!!

Ever since Filer integrated Dropbox compatibility I've been using it non-stop.

The problem with deleted files when upgrading was fixed. As soon as the author realized the problem existed he pulled the app from the store so that he could update it without affecting additional users. Very responsive to user comments and suggestions!!! Not to mention the app sees frequent updates anyway so I know I'm getting my money's worth now and in the future.

  • Works good but missing a small feature

This this does exactly what it is supposed to do and my gripe isn't really a gripe, more like a major feature request. I would love it if there were some sort of dropbox integration. How great would it be to be able to download something directly to my dropbox folder so I can retrieve it anywhere I wanted to.

Other than that, keep up the good work.

  • Takes care of all your downloading needs

This application is great. Does exactly what it says it does and does it well. It can download any type of file and it can display a lot of file types as well. It is not buggy at all and you can send the files to other applications with the "open in" feature. Great functionality!
  • Great App!

This is a really good downloader app. Not only does it let me download files but it also opens many file types as well (just like Air Sharing but a lot cheaper). I also like the iPad interface a lot. This is one of my favorite apps in the App Store by far.

I have two suggestions that I'd love to see in the next version:

    1) Download multiple files at once. Right now, only one in the queue (the file at the top) will download and the rest just sit and wait their turn. I have a free version of another download util for my iPod touch and it will download all files at once so I know this can be done. I know it can drain power more and possibly slow things down, but it would be nice to have this feature where you can enable or disable it if you want and if you enable it it assumes you know the consequences. Depending on the speed of your connection, downloading several files at once can be faster than one after another.

    2) Tabbed browsing would be great.

I have an issue right now and I don't know how it happened, but all of a sudden EVERY link I click on the built in browser will not follow that link. Instead the program will try to download that file whether it's a .php file or html file or whatever. It's strange. I think I need to remeove the app and add it again. I guess a cache or something got messed up by some webpage not doing the right thing which somehow is making the app not want to follow links any more. Weird.

  • Ok... But then it crashes

Yes, I've completely powered my iPad down and restarted and tried this again and it crashes every time.

The app does indeed download files perfectly, saves them, allows viewing of the documents, and moving them around into folders in the app. However, when clicking to save a photo to photo albums it crashes every time.

    Otherwise it works just fine.

  • Attention low star reviews ...

So you can't download a file ... really? Did you try reading the directions or contacting support before spewing ignorance in a review?

And mr. "Does not handle .rar files in Safari" ... you know you are essentially supposed to get the link to the file over to this app then download it ... didn't you? Cause if you're trying to open a rar file within Safari, how is this app supposed to intervene and magically unrar your file from within Safari? WOW!

Pull your heads out of your collective A**es and learn how to READ BEFORE YOU BUY!!!!!

This app does EXACTLY what is says it will do. I downloaded a 800 meg ISO while walking around a clients office working on various PCs. It was nice to have the status of the file right there with me as well as now having the file in the iPad at all times.

READ THE LABEL BEFORE YOU BUY ... In fact ... try visiting his web site to check for demo's - or maybe find a way to contact him directly? ... what a novel idea!
