Reviews of KCRW

  • App doesn’t connect to the internet

This app is so frustrating at times. This morning it has decided not to play. A message comes up saying it can’t connect to the internet. I’ve had to switch to the NPR app to listen today. This is not the first time the app hasn’t worked. Not sure where my membership dollars are going.

    Developer Response

Hey there! Could you please check to see if things are working now? We've re-released the app to make sure that all compatibility is accounted for. If you need further assistance, please contact us at help@kcrw.com.
  • Bug

Since update, it will not play on my Apple CarPlay, which is my favorite part since it is not a local station here in San Diego. Now I am stuck having to just stop listening to what I was listening to when I get in my car.😩
It’s super glitchy and starts and stops every few seconds. Or if I pause it, I have to close and reopen the app for it to play again. Please fix these things so I can listen to my beloved station, I am a monthly supporter and hardly get to listen to it’s as much as I would like.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your feedback and helping us to make the KCRW App even better! We've addressed recent bugs and issues in the latest app update 6.0.19, including the specific bug with CarPlay. Let us know how you like the new app version or contact us at kcrwdigital@kcrw.org with any issues at all!
  • Bug in 6.0.15 - not displaying all shows

There seems to be a bug in version 6.0.15 that causes the app to not display every recent/past episode of a show.

As an example, with version 6.0.13 I can see the most recent episode (broadcast # 756 for September 30, 2023) of the Henry Rollins show. But with version 6.0.15, it’s not listed. The same goes for the show Freaks Only - - the Wednesday October 4, 2023 show is visible with app version 6.0.13 but not on version 6.0.15.
