  • Fantastic!!!!!

I use this app at least 10-20 times a day. Very thorough. I love the upgrade as it gives different uses for the word. I only wish the verb conjugator gave the English translations.

  • New Layout is Better

I like the new conjugation tables much better.

  • Love it, use it, one specific suggestion

I use this very often when traveling and I especially like that there is a single lookup—no need to select Spanish v English or toggle between them. It also has verb forms which is handy—if the word you need is a past participle, it says so.
The only little thing I wish for is Latin American Spanish.
I would welcome, but I know this is a heavy linguistic life, a special food section. Foods are so regional, and very often in Mexico I look up a food word that is just not there. Again, I know this is asking a lot!

  • Spanish Dictionary and more

This app has a comprehensive dictionary but that’s not all. The dictionary itself includes slang expressions specific to Latin American countries. You can tap on the words and phrases to hear them pronounced. There are settings for selecting the speed and accents of the voices. Looking up words is really fast. You can enter a word and find it in either language. You can also tap on the microphone in the search bar for voice lookup. There are lots of bells and whistles that set the app apart like a phrasebook and flashcards.

  • GREAT Dictionary App!

I have bought multiple versions of your app in a variety of languages that I study. I LOVE it! I have tried many apps — but I LOVE the consistent format you bring to these apps in the various languages. The BEST part — it is all beautifully linked. You type in the word you are looking for, and the app automatically finds definitions in whatever language you typed (without having to change the language, as most other apps require). Also, the VERB conjugations are wonderful! You look up a verb — click on "conjugate" in the upper right — and you instantly have access to ALL conjugations in all tenses of that verb. NO other app I have tried comes close to convenience for rapidity of verb conjugations (and I have tried MANY other apps). This dictionary is not as good for longer translations (I use another app for that ... ) — but for everything else, it is the best iphone/ipad app I have found for very fast and accurate translations and verb conjugation review. Thank you! NOTE #1 — The non-paid versions are inferior. But the adds go away and the dictionary greatly expands if you get the paid apps (well worth the money!). NOTE #2 — Someone mentioned they had trouble hearing the words. I did to until I shut off "Go on-line for better quality" — after which I heard the voices well. The "slow" speed is still a bit fast, but understandable.

  • Lacking Some Key Features for the Price

I've been living in Chile for the past 12 months and have been searching for the perfect dictionary and it still doesn't exists

    Pros:
    -Offline Search and Conjugation
    - Word History
    - Word definitions include topical context for different verb/noun usage
    - Adding Notes/Photos to words

    Cons:
    - Lacks many Spanish words
-No ability to add additional words to the dictionary
    - No ability to save/star favorite words
    - No ability to see which words you've written notes on or added photos to
    - Quiz feature doesnt provide a "Quiz Summary" so once you miss a word the answer is forever lost
    - Dictionary turns down music on iPhone when in use. Difficult to use when traveling or studying as a result
    - There's no way to change order of phrases or phrase list.
    - No ability to create custom lists. As a result "My Phrases" list is a huge list of words that don't exist in the dictionary, slang, and phrases.
    - Phrases are not searchable. Now I have a list of 200+ phrases with no way to sort or search them. What a mess.

  • Very helpful app

Having moved to Spain from the US 1 1/2 years ago, I use this app almost every day. Because the app is on my iPhone I can use it when I'm out trying to do my day-to-day tasks and then during the day to do my Spanish homework for my lessons or just whenever I need to find out what my mail says. This app and the corresponding apps for other languages such as Italian and French have been very helpful, too, as we travel around Europe and live in Spain.

  • This has become my first go-to Spanish English dictionary

Although I had been using another dictionary, because of the phrases and idioms that are so helpful in that dictionary, I have switched to this dictionary as my first go to resource. That is because this dictionary incorporates some of those things as well, while also offering a variety of other helps, such as the test and the conjugations. The layout is easier to use because you don't have to manually switch back-and-forth between languages. This has become my first go-two dictionary, although I still use the other one for phrasal application.

One thing that I would really like to see added to this dictionary is an inclusion of imperatives and participles in the conjugation tab.

  • Phrases rock

Slick little app. Being able to jot down a few notes is a great idea and a welcomed addition. The fact that this is right there on my cell phone makes it very relevant in my day to day needs. I needed something like this after I graduated college and was traveling europe for 2 months. I could have used the german and french versions too. Maybe they could bundle them. I especially like the phrases section. That would have come in handy at restaurants and train stations and for meeting people.

  • My window to my Spanish -speaking friends

On Facebook I have befriended many Spanish speaking families, before this APP I struggled with a printed paperback dictionary. One word took almost five minutes to find transmit to I Pad, etc. now, I am able to almost converse with these friends ? Many are on an island in the ,. Carib bean and enjoy these exchanges . This APP works very well ! Compared to a French-English dictionary I also use ? I don't see well ( 92 years old )! So I am thankful for the print's legibility, and no need for pagination Problems !
