Great Update!
The update is great! It is now even easier to use and I can also view my recent searches! This app is great! The only two Spanish apps I use are: Learn Spanish! By Miraim and this app. This app can become useful in almost any situation. I am even thinking about using this as a reference when I take my vacation this Spring. Thanks for the frequent and great updates!

This app = 1 of a piece greatness. I think you guys went all out on this one. The "look-up" feature contains lots of words, even larger words, such as "unfortunately", unlike other apps I have tried. Also, I like the ability to customize the order of the functions at the bottom of the app. I did notice a couple of bugs here and there, but this is great for helping me out when I need. The quiz though, however, is AMAZING! Unlike other apps, this app has a 150 question test/quiz, which is a great test of knowledge. I really like the ability to take notes on a single word under search. I also like to hear myself, so I know I'm saying the word right. Overall, this app was very-well designed and easy to use. Spanish English dictionary, recommended
I teach Spanish at a University and the Ascendo dictionary is one of the products I recommend to my students. They almost all have smartphones and I think an iPhone dictionary is more useful and cost effective than many other reference materials.
From a teaching perspective, the main reason I recommend this dictionary over others is because it allows my students to annotate translations with examples I give in class. This is the only product I have come across with this feature.Show lessJillianSB
Twice as pleased!
I originally got the Ascendo dictionary for my iPhone and I have been satisfied with the depth and breadth of the vocabulary.
Then I purchased and iPad and decided to buy another copy, but after clicking on Buy Now and following the prompt I was alerted that I already purchased it and didn't have to pay again. Not all my apps work like this so I checked and Ascendo's dictionary is a universal application so it can be downloaded onto several devices without paying for multiple copies.

Only Lookup & Phrases Functions are Useful
Total waste of money. After playing with the free version for a few minutes (note free version is in the Education category and paid version is in Travel category in the app store) I decided to take a chance and buy the full version even though it's expensive and there were no customer reviews yet. Big mistake! In the free version, you see that the verb conjugator only shows you the present tense. I assumed that I would be able to view all tenses of the verb in the paid app, however the paid app also ONLY HAS PRESENT TENSE, which is of no use to anyone but a beginner. The quiz is a multiple choice translation quiz. The wrong answer choices are so ludicrously wrong as to make the whole thing much much too easy and worthless. So that leaves you with the dictionary/translator lookup which seems to work fine, and the phrases which also seem okay, but you can get both for free or much cheaper elsewhere.
