Need to cover all maps in Canada lakes rivers islands.

I keep giving this brilliant app 5 Stars. Deserves it no question. The only thing I wish is that route planning could be given the option of ignoring unmade roads. As it is, unless you have a four wheel drive, you could be in for a surprise, especially in mountain areas. This is not a criticism, just a wish. I’ve gotten used to it over the years, and it’s given me some unexpected adventures. Anyway, a sublime app, and great credit to the developers.

Locked out of your paid features if away from cell service

The app targets offline usage, but after every update it must update your license…. over the internet. So, if you’re trying to use it away from cell service after an, you will be locked out of your paid features.

This has been a problem for years and they refuse to fix it.

Be aware of the scam!

Bought the “lifetime” subscription in 2020. Now, the app doesn’t work because I “don’t have a subscription.” I’ve sent the subscription receipt several times, but the customer service rep changes each time and it’s like starting over. The app was great when I had a subscription, but be aware before falling for the “lifetime” subscription scam and poor customer service.

Hello John, there are two versions of Guru Maps in the App Store. One is free with a subscription, and the other is a paid version called Guru Maps Pro, which you purchased. Not a lifetime license inside of the free app. Just reinstall Guru Maps Pro, and it will no longer mention any limits.

Absolute lifesaver

An absolute must when out and about in a foreign city - in my case, Copenhagen. Offline ability to direct me to anywhere and everywhere (and home again) made life very simple. Definitely recommend.

I’ve been using this for years now and it’s very good

I tried this app years ago as a free version with I think one country map and then paid for the Pro version. It has been great to use, not as fancy as some of the expensive mapping apps but as a straight forward offline map app it is great. Wherever I travel in the world I download the country maps and they have been very useful. They are always up to date and very detailed. There are a lot of options for online maps too which are very good for hiking.

It is my go to app when outside the UK and a back up in the UK.

Almost perfect

Years waiting for an app that was easy to use but powerful.
Simple, elegant screen and useful controls, you can configure the main screen a little bit, great maps offline, layers and overlays depending on your current activity, and you can navigate main roads and trails…
Very close to be perfect….
Now I can throw away my garming and have all on my phone

Great Map App!!

Worldwide downable maps, offline functionality and quick tech support. Easy and intuitive to use. The too-fast-talking issue was an iOS problem resolved by going to Settings->Accessibility->Spoken Content and adjusting the Speaking Rate slider. So impressed that I gladly paid for the pro license.

Outstanding App

An outstanding app; robust, reliable and very versatile. I’ve been using this for many years now as it’s better than anything else. The maps are clear and have the added benefit of showing topology which makes them easy to read. You can record your own track and share it, or download a track and follow it, or use the excellent in built navigation functionality. Being able to use the maps offline is another major advantage, especially when using the app in remote locations. And also being able to sync the folders, tracks and data across devices is also really useful. The user support is quick and helpful too, but the app works so well you won’t need to call on their help :-)
