I like the fact that it recognises the input language without having to toggle between german &/or english. The translations are more than satisfactory.
Missing many contemporary words
Missing contemporary words. Too may clicks required to get to content (no background loading, for example), small "x" to clear search field? This should clear automatically when I type again.
Doesn't deliver the goods
I have to use this dictionary with another one, because I usually get confused with the short definitions it gives me. There are also too few examples of word usage. For its high price you really would expect more.
Great app
This version has eliminated a couple of annoying bugs. Currently, I know of one bug that occurs when several meanings are displayed in landscape view. The trick to solve this is to rotate to portrait view then back to landscape. It is an excellent app and very useful for reading documents. It helps one find conjugation of verbs which can be tricky. My wish list is expansion of the vocabulary including more alternative meanings and whether the verb is transitive or intransitive and completing all the genders of nouns. In summary, I find the app very useful and use it daily.

When I study German there is one thing that l cannot do without, and this App is far more than a dictionary. Every form of a verb is accurately given!!!

Highly useful
This is a really useful app for those learning German or those just visiting. There are plenty of common phrases to help tourists to get around. Verbs have a full conjugation table. Equivalent words are listed with contextual usage.
At least one example is given per word. the dictionary is stored within your phone so dont need wifi to translate a word, though if a match cannot be App will ask to to go online to search for translation. audio of German and English words available when internet access available. finally you can also attach an image to a word for better recognition.
The only downside so far has been that words are not listed with their plural form.

The offline dictionary is a big plus!
I travel to Germany every year. I'm using Rosetta Stone to learn the language, but I was in need of a dictionary that didn't require Internet service. I was using a small dictionary, but found it slow and cumbersome. This app should fit the bill nicely.
I'm leaving for Germany in May. I'll let you how it works out.

Very useful for finding definitions quick.
Very detailed and very affordable. I do wish that their examples were a bit clear as to their context though. I also find it ridiculous that they censored words that they thought were offensive.
Handy app!
This is a great help for reading German ebooks on the go -- has all the common words and many more intermediate ones not available in pocket paper dictionaries -- recommended by a professional literary translator (see Snow White Must Die)!
Great reference tool even for experienced speakers
Could be slightly more extensive but super helpful 99% of the time.
