Great Tool for Supply Management Professionals
I am Supply Management professional working on several R & D projects and strategic initiatives concurrently. I became frustrated with the hassle of determining project end dates beyond the 12-month horizon on my wall calendar. I was tired of clicking clicking clicking in Outlook, counting weeks and months into the future. I also lost my planning wheel (There MUST be a thief about the office!).
So, when an engineer mused that there must be an iPhone app for that, I jumped on it and found Data Wheel. I am very pleased. It is intuitive, simple to use, yet flexible enough for multiple applications. I can determine a due date when the lead time period is known. If I know the drop dead date of a project, I can determine how many weeks or days remain.
Finally, and most importantly, I can instantly see how many days I have left to work until my next scheduled vacation.

Nearly perfect
I found DateWheel easy to use when the time between dates is known and in the format of number of days. The one shortcoming of the product is that it does not present the time between dates in the format of years, months, weeks, and days. I had to use DateCalcPro to complete a retirement analysis for my wife when her employer presented additional retirement service in the format of years, months, and days. Aside from this shortcoming, DateWheel is a very useful app.Show lessgsa8909
Does one thing well
It is surprising how often I need to calculate dates. This app makes it simple. I've used since my Palm Treo days and have the Web version set as a Chrome app on my desktop. I was glad to see that the developer cam out with an iPhone version.ChouDoufu

Excellent app for easily counting days for contacts. When writing real estate contracts I can select how many days till closing and get the date. In the old days it was get out the calander and start counting. Saves time and looks professional when I use it in front of my clients.gurroz
