Fantastic app

Absolutely brilliant app that enables me to learn how play my favourite songs on my keyboard easily without having to read music notation.. I also use it with GarageBand as well, that way I can recreate my favourite songs in garageband while learning to play all the virtual instruments. A must have app for any guitarist, keyboard/pianist or drummer which is also perfect for beginners who want to quickly and easily learn how to play their favourite songs.

Top app, can't do without it...

Had this for a couple of years and it's great. Only complaint is that the latest upgrade took away the option to switch off the fretboard by default. Now you have to switch it off every time you open a new tab.
Other than that it rocks!!! Note that the new tab shop is not the only option, you can also download tabs in the same way as before by simply surfing the net.

Better than I thought, you can look for free tabs on Internet and send them easily using wireless

From your computer to iPhone, how that works still surprises me

Business as usually, 99 cent per song, you find out about it after the download.

99 cent per score, it adds up, ain't nickels and dimes. You think there would be some group bundle deal. Deleting this app, looking for some desktop software where the over all price is better. You know if you purchased printed material there is a cost for printing, storage, distributing it, middle man retail cost, you got to like gouging prices on Ebook, app Newpapers, app comics, these people are unbelievable over pricing these and laughing. Apple seems to have self appointed themselves the morality police, they seem to have no problem of not having a policy posted up front, before you download an app, it is a pay as you go, this one is the worst. How about 25 songs for 5 bucks. You really want to do business with a app company like this? I am starting to regret doing business with Apple.

How to use this app for dummies xD

Hey, if you bough this app and you think it was a total waste of money.... Your wrong!! I will tell you exactly how to use this app so listen up!
When I 1st bought this app I was able to download tabs easily from UG but lately they have been trying to get you to subscribe for 2.99$ a month.
When your downloading songs only click on the ones that say "guitar pro" or "tab pro". It will take you to a page where it will offer you to subscribe... Scroll down and your should see something that says "download guitar pro" or something like that in bright red letters. Click on it and let it load. Then you are ready to rock & roll :p
Now if you rated one star... Change it to 5 stars cuz this is the best app ever

Honestly, the reason I own an iPod in the first place

This program has done wonders for helping me to learn new songs. Since I've gotten it, seen a genuine jump in my talent, and now that it has GuitarPro 6 support, there aren't many songs I don't have access to. Also, it's great for providing me with backing tracks -- all I have to do is mute the instrument I want to play, and then away I go. I can't recomment this app highly enough to anyone who wants an easy way to organize, read, and utilize tablature of all types.

Also, as an awesome side note, the developer support for this is top notch. I emailed them with a question about how to better integrate this with their other exceptional app, Ampkit+, and I received a very helpful reply the very next day. I really can't applaud this app enough; it has truly revolutionized the way I learn the guitar, and I can't wait to see where it goes next.

Delivers the goods

This is a super tool. I was able to download a guitar tab pro file in about 10 seconds. It may take me longer to learn how to play it :-) As a beginner, I like having the collection of basic finger picking excercises and arpeggios right there too. Looks like there are more features to discover. The interface is a pleasure to use. The pain of the $9.99 price tag for me comes mostly from the sight of stacks of printed guitar tab books I've already shelled out for. I think having the tonal audio cue, the chord form, the meter, and the tab all there at once is a game changer for me. I just don't have the ear or experience to gather that all in one place without lessons. This is a more fun way to learn.

Best Power Tab player, period.

I have a large amount of Power Tab songs stored on my computer and would love to have a mobile player. This app is simply amazing. The layout and interface can't be much more cleaner or polished, and everything is laid out logically.

You can wirelessly import all of your Power Tab files from your computer. The app shows you what to do, and could not have made it any easier. Transferred about 40ish songs to my iPad in about 20-30 seconds. Super simple.

One of my favorite features was the ability to adjust the volumes for each instrument in the song. I'm a bass player and the bass is usually the quietest instrument in Power Tab songs. I was able to turn the lead guitars down to about 40% and the bass to 100% and really was able to hear it quite well.

If you love using Power Tab songs on your computer and want something to use while mobile, this app is what you want.

Great App/Great People

The App is awesome. Sometimes I have so much fun downloading tabs that I forget that I now need to learn how to play the songs. It's so much better on an iPad as you can usually see the whole tab.

To that end, I bought it when I only had an iPhone & really didn't want to re-download all the tabs to my new iPad. I emailed Agile about moving tabs from iPhone to iPad & got a personal response that took care of my issue in 5 minutes. They went above & beyond by walking me thru the steps to move tabs between computer, iPhone & iPad very easily.

Thanks Agile & keep up the great work.

Winning

Tab Toolkit is outstanding. While I haven't tested competing apps, it's highly unlikely that there is better tab app currently on the app store. You have the sheet of music and as it plays, a vertical red line moves with the music and the contact points are displayed in real-time on the guitar neck below. You can manually move the bar at any time to play through sections at any speed. You can also adjust the global speed down to as low as 10%, so you can learn at your own pace. It's easily worth the price.
