Slick, but incomplete
I have three tab apps on iPad, and this one is the slickest by far WITH Guitar Pro tab files (various versions supported). The score scrolls (speed variable) with the notes highlighted on the score, the notes appear in position on the fretboard or keyboard, plays multiple tracks/voices... very cool.
The app supports uploading / downloading tab files from the computer. But Guitar World has not gone the whole way, and offered easy download from a library of free (nice!) or low-cost Guitar Pro tab files from its web site. You buy the expensive Tab Toolkit app, and you're soon wondering what to do with it!
Searching on the web for tab files produces a few. I found just text-only files on Guitar World's web site, and for those this app offers NO BENEFIT AT ALL, save your money. Elsewhere on the web there are lots of promises of Guitar Pro tab files, but they seem to be offered the way free porn is offered (I hear!) ... lots of offers, not much given away.
If you have a good library of Guitar Pro tab files already or know where to get one, or if you have Guitar Pro software and are willing to make your own tab files, buy the Tab Toolkit app, you'll be very pleased. Otherwise, save your money... within half an hour you'll find you have nothing to do with it!

Great app two suggestions
This app rules and has taken my playing to a whole different level. The two features from guitar pro that I use all the time that are not availible on the app are the loop feature where you can choose measures to loop so you can isolate the parts your having trouble with. The other is the 1/2 speed button. It is possible to play them at half speed by going in to the menu and selecting the playback tab and use the tempo wheel to slow it down then but when you want original tempo you have to go back into settings to the playback tab ect. It would be nice to have a 1/2 speed button somewhere on the screen while tab is playing that you can toggle back and forth. Other than that this is perfect!!! Keep the updates coming.

Great Customer Support!
So I downloaded this app and was so excited to try it out. I play bass. I opened the app, downloaded some Guitar Pro tabs (google: guitar pro tabs in the in app browser and the first one that comes up is a great site, easy to download tabs), and went to check them out. Nothing for bass. I could turn off all the other tracks sounds and hear only bass but it would still show guitar tabs not bass. I emailed customer support and within an hour I received a response and instructions on how to show the bass tabs (click in instrument in lower left and click the instrument you want to show tabs for instead of just clicking on the volume or blue arrow), it worked! What makes this even more amazing is that it is a Sunday. Bradley emailed me back quickly on a Sunday! Amazing customer support, amazing app!

The greatest music app on the store
This is just like guitar pro. Ignore the negative review below , tabs have to be in guitar pro or power tab format for full audio playback. There are loads of websites on the internet which can be accessed directly in the app. If you are learning an instrument ( particularly guitar) this is an essential purchase. I will go as far as to say this is personally the single greatest app I have along with ampkit.( no I don't work for the devs)

So close to Perfect
This app is by far the best tab app out there.
There is only one thing it needs to be perfect. Autoscroll for Text files. Is can get a little annoying having to manually scroll halfway through a piece. With this added in a future update, it would be perfect!!!

Excellent support!
UPDATE:
I had one issue with the program that I describe below. I contacted support and they responded within a few hours. They issued an update that fixed the issue in less than a week. I am really loving this app! No more carrying around lots of heavy books, and the favorites feature makes it a lot easier to keep a quick list of tunes I am working on.
---------------------------
The application works as advertised as far as displaying and playing tab files.
It is very difficult to get files on to the iPad though. Downloading them one at a time from the built in web browser works, but uploading them to the built in web server is problematic. The first few dozen that are uploaded go well, but the the web server crashes every time you try to connect to it after that. I have a collection of a few hundred tabs that I would like to upload to the iPad.
I am hopeful that an update will resolve this. It seems like they don't test updates very thoroughly....

Easily the best, but ...
Amazing app, definitely the best tab player for iPod touch! The only thing I would recommend is the ability to change tempo eg. -20 for a song I'm not familiar with. I use this a lot in Power Tab and would be awesome to see for mobile!
Great APP
I love this app. It works perfectly well especially it now supports gp6 files and I edit and save using GP6 then take an iPad with me with all my music in it. Love the app. Great work guys.
Absolutely The Best!
I've been with this app for a long time and it keeps getting better. Not just a little update here and there, but major functional user-benefit updates. Now it will handle my GuitarPro 6 files, Amazing!! I have never had any poor experiences with this app, nor a crash. Those who are having troubles, I'm sure these developers are working on it and don't forget to reset after an install. Works like a charm.
(previous) It's GuitarPro for the iPhone. The new improvements are amazing! Now with multitrack playback. The covenience of being able to take your GP files with you without lugging your computer around, downloading new files in app, and being able to slow down the playback speed make it a must for anyone that uses GuitarPro. Thank you developers! And those of you still debating, just get it, you won't regret it.

Great app for guitarists
This app allows you to do many of the things you can do with Guitar Pro. The latest update includes Guitar Pro 6 compatibility. There are thousands of free tabs to download from the Internet, with a link from the app to facilitate this. Also, you can import tabs from a server.
The app has it's greatest value, I feel, as a learning tool.
There is prompt and useful support, and the price is a steal.
Buy it if you are a guitarist!
