Do not buy. This is outdated edition. The FAR/AIM must be current edition to be legally used in all flight activities.
$20 yearly subscription fee too much
The app is fine, but all it does is downloading free content and reformatting it. Fine, but $20 subscription fee is too much.
App functionality good, customer support non-existent
Downloaded the app under the free trial. My main like was the ability to save highlights and bookmarks across devices. Attempted to do so across my iOS devices but was unable to do so. Contacted customers support through the in app chat feature. Told them the problem and was given a link to an article to resolve issue. Followed directions but was still unable to correct the syncing problem. Reached back out to support but was unable to get a hold of anyone. Called left a message at their number listed on website. Still was unable to get a call back after almost a week. Up to this day have not received any support to resolve problem. If you are able to get app to work as designed great! If not I would not waste your time with customer support.

Bad business practice
I’ve used this app almost since they started many years ago and stayed with them until now. Their app used to be good, quick and responsive. As time went on began getting slower to load and reported it many times. I subscribed to them since it was $6.00 purchase only, then annual subscription for updates only and they raised it gradually, yet their service got worse and app became slower. I didn’t renew on my renewal date a few days back and just learned the app becomes totally unusable if you don’t renew, that’s why I call it a bad business practice as subscription used to be for the updates only. App used to work if you were late for renewal, you would just not get the routine updates, now they even render it unusable. I just searched and found another app that does the job very well like this one used to be when they started. This is a bad business practice, shame on you guys.
RESPONSE: In response to your comment, I have multiple communication thread under my account, you’re more than welcome to check my correspondence. You didn’t mention anything about your change of business practice of locking the app upon expiration of subscription. Your company is the only who has such wrong business practice, not to mention not honoring the specials you ran for renewal. I was unable to use that offer when you had it and multiple times sent emails and inquiries, but all remained unanswered.

App is great but my data and how it’s been used and tracked is the issue for me
I was never told upfront or given an option to opt out of anything concerning my data usage or purchases, etc when I downloaded this years ago and although the other major publisher of the FARs that also has study guides and everything as well is cheaper, this app is a lot better and I would prefer to use this app over any other when it comes to the regulations and being current and up to date. But my biggest drawback is they are the only ones who collect, track, share your data that could be linked back to you. The other app doesn’t track anything. Call it what you will, for me, I have enough things keeping track of my data and sharing it these days and if I can have one less to worry about I’m all for it.

Must have Tool
As Designated Pilot Examiner, I absolutely have to have the lastest updated regulations and I trust Lawstack to provide that to me.
False advertising
As soon as you download the app, you find out everything is locked behind a subscription. Useless.

How much do you really fly VFR anymore? Do you know, right now,
Your clearance from clouds? How abou t controlled airspace?
Don’t be caught without this gem. The price is very small when
compared to fighting an alleged infraction…..Get it!!

Valuable App Awesome Support
I have been subscribed to the FAR/AIM app for 9 years. This app is very helpful to me as an aviation professional. As an Inspector, I used this app daily and never found any errors between the app and existing regulations. The updates came fast which is important to me at my job. If you are in the aviation business I highly recommend this app.
The customer service is the best I have ever encountered. These guys respond to questions within minutes and they are so nice. I never had any problems with this group in 9 years. What a great bunch of professionals. If you are on the fence about purchasing this app I recommend going for it. You won’t be disappointed.

The FAR/AIM content is free to access. Why should I pay PER YEAR? And 15 dollars??? I can pay once for the app, but never a subscription. Bye.
