Disappointed Long-Time User – Subscription Overkill
The subscription model feels excessive, especially when there are plenty of other apps on the market offering similar, if not better, tools at more reasonable prices—or even for free. Adobe seems to be prioritising profit over customer loyalty, and it’s incredibly disappointing to see them alienate long-time users in this way.
I understand the need for monetisation, but taking features that were once free and putting them behind a paywall is a slap in the face to users who helped make the app popular in the first place. This change has forced me to look elsewhere for photo editing solutions and ultimately delete the app.
Adobe should seriously reconsider this approach. There’s a balance to be struck between offering premium features for paid users and keeping basic functionality accessible to everyone. Right now, they’ve tipped too far in the wrong direction, and it’s not a good look.
I wouldn’t recommend this app unless you’re prepared to pay for features that were previously free. It’s a shame to see what used to be a great tool reduced to a money grab.
