  • Useless for what I need.

I went to Bazaart when Adobe pulled Mix & Fix. I’m so glad I did. I can now use cutouts and layering that are amazing and user friendly. How anyone can think Express works well for those functions boggles my mind. It is the absolute worst. I can’t believe I didn’t move on sooner. I do still use it for several other minor things.

It’s a mere shadow of what Mix & Fix were. I would gladly pay to have them back. I can get better cutouts using my iPhone. The cutout feature is one of the worst I’ve worked with. The option of only having 5 layers is useless. It’s not user friendly, and this change in adding text is awful. You’re typing blindly and can’t see where it is you want it to gage how it will look. Even trying to make simple color corrections is awkward. So, I, along with many others, miss the 3 separate apps you could go between. Cramming them all together just isn’t working for me. I’ll go use PicsArt for now, at least you can layer more than 5, and the cutout is easier. PS is now garbage. I’m in the midst of trying new apps. I’m not sure how much longer I can continue with this one, but I may as well give my money to an app that is easier to use. Like I said, I’m already using my perfect iPhone cutouts and having to copy and paste them into where I want them. Express is that bad.

  • Not as good as PS Fix for basic edits

I was an avid user of PSFix for my photo editing needs. It was easy to use and had great features. I have been trying to learn PSExpress since you deleted the Fix app. The only thing I used Express for that Fix didn’t have was the “dehaze” and sharpen features. It’s nothing but frustrating. It’s not as useful, not as intuitive, and doesn’t give the user the same level of control over their edits. If you insist on moving people from Fix to the Express App, at least give us the same tools, and the same control over the details of our edits! For example, most tools had the ability to control size & opacity, with a brush to remove/undo parts of an edit. In the “heal” section, there was a clone tool where you could choose part of a photo and paint it onto another part, and then erase parts you didn’t want. You could “paint” a color onto the photo, and control the opacity and size of the brush, and you could change the opacity of the eraser. There was a “light/dark” tool that you could control/brush on where you wanted the photo lighter/darker. There was a button that allowed you to see the before and after of the specific tool’s edits that you were currently working on, and then the ability to back up/undo through that tool’s edits. There also was the option to undo through all edits. Please bring my favorite app back!

  • Photoshop fix&mix worked better

Im so glad i paid $100 for a worst version because you guys cant accept how much work people expect to get a paycheck and just want to create bugs and “fix” bugs all the time how come people could just buy software on a cd and it would work for years now “someone is always hacking your stuff thats not downloaded on individual devices and is just on our servers messing all of your stuff up all the time” or you have another excuse for bugs all the time? And needing updates? Because like i said we use to buy this stuff at walmart on a cd and you would be able to use it for years …. I guess you guys just really know how to work backwards and you guys are sooo not lazy getting a check for “updating” … why cant i use a smart brush on here why its it a square … you literally didnt have to change anything … if i ever find my iphone 8 im never connecting it to the internet so I can continue using photoshop fix because if you can use an app and not be connected to the internet it is downloaded to your phone … if you never connect to data then the app doesnt know its supposed to be cancelled

  • A mess

This is, I think, my first actual review on the App Store. I feel compelled to put my grievances out there so I can (hopefully) deter you from downloading this.

This app is a nearly complete downgrade from the older Photoshop Mix for me. For all the flashy and new UI and “features,” you can’t even do something as basic as custom cropping or extending frames, (That I’ve been able to figure out.) leaving you having to then edit the photos outside of the app to get the dimensions/aspect ratio you actually want. Everything is hidden behind menu after menu, and figuring it all out is unintuitive and clunky. I shouldn’t have to be searching online for easy things such as how to custom size my photos- it should just be there. My workflow is mostly spent sifting through the menus to find the thing I want to do, only to have it not be there some of the time. Mix was also a bit scant compared to the full Photoshop, but it’s intuitive and you still had many of the basic functionalities to work with and get creative.

Just stick with Mix and make yourself a burner Adobe account (if it’s still available on the store) until it reaches complete end of life. Then just do the editing with something else since Adobe is insistent on rolling back basic functionalities and adding bloat with every new iteration of their programs.

Hi there! I am sorry that you feel dissatisfied with the app. We are glad that you liked Photoshop Mix. The app has been discontinued, and the same features have been added to Photoshop Express. Please follow the below steps to crop the picture. Open the app, select the picture that you wish to edit, select Crop Tool, and you can choose the Aspect Ratio, Transform, and Rotate. You can check our guide for the app [https://helpx.adobe.com/in/photoshop-express/get-started-ios.html]. Few features (premium) are paid for because that provides us the resources to provide you with new, updated, and amazing software. Also, while some advanced features require a subscription, we still provide a range of free features for users to enjoy. The feedback is noted, and we will work to make the app more intuitive. If you encounter any trouble editing the image, you can always write us back, and we will assist you. We are here to help! ^DC
  • Pay to try it

If you’re like most people who finally bought a super nice camera and you shot something in RAW and you thought “I’ll download PhotoShop and use it to edit a couple quick photos” well just know that NONE of the features in this app are available to try for free. You absolutely have to sign up for the “trial period” and remember to cancel before they charge you full price and that just to try it. I never have liked this auto payment method because they are all set to bill you and take your money long BEFORE you actually get to try it. It should legally say pay in 7 days weather you like it or not IF you want to really test out our software. I mean I get it, it’s supposed to be good software but these days there are tons of GREAT software available for free and plenty of AMAZING software makers who also charge a fee and yes there are a few exactly like PhotoShop who want to change an on going subscription but honestly, I’m not a subscription guy. They tend to add up real quick and before ya know it, I’m not using what I am paying for, yet again. If you don’t like subscriptions, don’t use this app. If you wanted to try out the software BEFORE buying it, DONT USE THIS APP. Keep looking for something or multiple somethings that give you ONLY what you need or want instead of a ridiculous overly proud app.

  • Accept No Substitute demand A D O B E

“Adobe Photoshop” conjures up in your mind the best of what human creativity has achieved in developing a tool you work with, tinker with, play with. “Rolls Royce” is equally a tool that you drive with, tinker with and play with. It’s unfortunate that we can’t all afford a Rolls Royce. But, incredibly we can all afford Adobe Photoshop. So, accept no substitution. This is the very best since…forever. Five Stars doesn’t due it justice. If we could give one thousand stars, or a million stars, I would give the maximum. UPDATE 4JULY2023 STILL THE BEST
UPDATE 11SEPT2023 New features added making it “The Original One-Stop Home of Everything You’d Require!” whether you’re an artist expressing yourself -or- You are employed in Graphic Design and you provide what the employer asks of you (or you and your children don’t eat :-) —-or—- You’re A Student and You Need To Consistently Get Good Grades or else!
——> WHATEVER YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES —-> Your best chance of succeeding at the highest level is with “Photoshop” and “The Entire Suite of Adobe Products” because they are intuitive and responsive, so you spend MORE TIME DOING and less time figuring out how in the world the competing products choose the strange way of navigating the most simplest tasks. They make it harder and even if you master them, the result is always better with Adobe - Photoshop included!

  • It sure is cutting back my learning curve!

I’ve had the Photoshop software/app since 2009 but could never get the hang of it. But now, as an owner of a small breeding business in the age of TikTok where 85% of my marketing budget is digital, I was running out of options. Even though I had tried literally DOZENS of photo editing packages, nothing was having the impact I needed. PS Express changed that. They’ve taken Photoshop’s tools and made them accessible even to someone like me. The tutorials are clear and helpful and the little on screen descriptions are available for every scenario I’ve come across. And those assists are crucial when you normally fail at editing! 🫣 The only problem I have with the package is the cost. In order to access PS express and take advantage of all it offers I have to subscribe to a package that is packed with WAY more than I’ll ever be able to utilize. And the Creative Cloud is additional as is the access to the stock photo library for clip art etc. As I said, I’m a SMALL business owner and in addition we only have 2 (3 at the most) selling periods in a year, which means reallocating my marketing budget dollars to provide the funds to pay Adobe the other 9-10 months of the year. But it hasn’t broke me yet and I’m finally getting the hang of this. Hopefully by the end of summer I’ll have learned enough to utilize the options I’m paying for. Hopefully

  • I love PS

I use this app a lot express myself by typing over pictures. What I find missing is shadows for the letters, better control over the alignment too. These are attributes that could be improved. Also, I haven’t found any way to coordinate the text and the picture after I type the text. Otherwise, this app serves me pretty well. I’ve tried other apps, but for me Adobe serve me the best. Although I find it a bit expensive, I decided it’s worth the cost. It gives me a huge variety of ways to express myself in a creative way. They’ve been in the business about ever since the dawn of the PC. They know what they are doing, the product is reliable and it works. But with every new product the learning curve is getting out of hand. I like to learn on the fly in my own projects, and an integrated Ai voice guide would be a great improvement, because I don’t like looking at some instructor on another screen with all their blah blah telling me how to do their project. They make me feel like a child, it’s annoying and a lot of what I learn gets lost on the way trying to capture the essence ce of what I want to learn.
