  • Nice app, but .......

Ok, its a good app, love the google map, visually it is great, but when I tried making a tracert to our mail server, the location where Im at and where the server is (which is the same location)i, shows the server somewhere else!!...so Im a bit doubtful on the accuracy of the location :)
  • VisualRoute lovers: get this!

I like this app a lot. It can be a little buggy sometimes in the display of geoLocs, but all in all, I'm a big fan. Reminds me a lot of VisualRoute, which is *exactly* what I wanted.

Good delivery on part of the devTeam. Looking fwd to updates!!
  • doesn't work

my company have several servers that have publicly accessable interfaces. yet this app says they are not valid dns or ip v4.
so quite frankly i am very disappointed with this app.
  • Excellent tool

Thanks for the excellent app! A great addition to the iPad toolkit!
  • Fascinating

*Way* more interesting than just having a textual list (but gives you that too if you need it).
  • Real eye opener App

This is an extremely useful App.

When organisations stress not to put sensitive information on the web unless you have a Secure Connection, because you don't know how many servers its going through, then this App opens your eyes to just how many servers are used.

To get to the non secure homepage of my bank in the UK I went through 10 servers.

AND, did you know that the link to the UK government website direct.gov.uk goes through at least 6 servers including 1 in the USA! Why?

    It makes you think!

  • RJSB

    Has potential.
Needs some explanation as to what various notations mean. Crashes fairly regularly which is quite frustrating. If fixed will be a great app.
  • Do what it's supposed to do but...

Crashes 2 times out of 3. Work well when it's not crashing. Excellent integration of mapping. Fast and responsible. Can't wait for a new version.
  • Alright

Needs improvement on performance and results, no help or hint about symbols and what they represent.
  • Good info; great value

I don't get reviewers that bash free tools that work. Seriously folks, why don't you write a free app before saying that an app is "hardly worth downloading"

This app does what it advertises: a tracert overlaid on a resizable map. On the info page it gives you hop by hop data for the trace.

Some features I'd like to see:
    1. Putting the trace values on the map or putting a sidebar box with the current trace data on the side.
    2. Graphing all the hops. It looks like the app is graphing the origin destination and one major interconnect hop where the data page shows 8 or 9 hops.

All in all it's a good tool to have hanging about.
