This is a wonderful app but it is not fair to trick six year olds. First, no matter how many times we listen to the word, you cannot tell the difference between “an” and “ am”. Also given the word”his” they offered two of that word and we chose one, they said wrong, picked the other and it was right. Please look into this!

This wonderful practice to get them ready for computerized assessments and great practice to help with the”summer slide”.

  • Renewal?!

I thought this was a one time purchase app, yet I was charged 2.99 today. I have tried to cancel through the App Store, request cancellation and a refund, and tried through the app with no success?! How do I cancel?!

    Developer Response

This is a one time purchase app. There is no subscription fee for any of the TeachMe apps. There are other educational apps / websites that look similar to ours and have similar names to ours. Please check the exact name you were billed. You can email us at support@24x7digital.com for help.
  • A must have learning app bundle

I have used these apps with my now 7th grader and I am currently using them for my 2nd grader. They help reinforce the foundational skills for reading and math. They make it fun by adding rewards and having things kids can buy. I am also a teacher and I recommend this app to all parents when they ask what types of apps they can use for additional support for their child.

  • Loved by Aussie reception kids

My 5 year old loved Teach Me Reception.
A well designed app that was easy to use, didn’t frustrate them with glitches and increased in difficulty as they progressed.
Easy to track progress (for both the parents and child if your child wishes to) and highlights areas that need extra attention.
Even though it’s clearly American it worked really well with the Australian curriculum and the American accent was easy to understand.
    Easy for parents to customize.
They’ve now moved onto Teach Me Year 1 which is proving equally beneficial and enjoyable for my kid to “play”.

  • Great for all abilities

I cannot say enough good things about this app. I work with special needs children and it is the best app to explain math concepts. Plus I can customize it for each of them to whatever level they are at. Even better, the rewards, teach them even more math. Sneaky, sneaky, I love it! That’s really helpful to give them a basic understanding of how money works in the real world, something that all kids show learn as early as possible.

  • Good when it is working.

Right now when I click the settings button it crashes. Poof! Gone. Can’t change the setting to change the curriculum assigned to my child.

Good game for older people but very bad for kids must have adult super vision if you are a kid mouse guys
  • Great app to teach kids

All I want to say is this app is great but my only problem with is the writing portion of the lesson. One simple mistake you’ll get you a wrong answer.
  • SpEd Teacher, Parent & Grandma of 6

I am a SpEd resource teacher and my students truly love this app. One of my Kindergarten boys prefers it to any game he could choose on the tablet. On top of purchasing it for my own class, it is the only app I have gifted to others multiple times.

This app teaches the correct way to form letters. (Kindergarten level) This helps to prevent the common problem with reversals. When kids form their b and d correctly they don't have all the issues with confusing those two letters. It may seem petty to force students to form letters a certain way but there is actually a lot of science behind it.

Another great feature is the fact that you can customize it. Almost all settings can be adapted for each individual child. Plus each grade level allows you to enter up to 40 separate students. Each student can have their individual settings customized. So if I feel it would be best for my student to enter answers with a keyboard instead of writing, I can set it up that way.

I decide how many correct answers each student needs to have to earn a reward and how many times they must answer correctly to be considered mastery. The app collects ongoing data on each student that I can check any time.

There are separate topics for Addition, Subtraction, Spelling, and Sight Words for the 1st-grade level but you can turn off any section in order to have your student focus on the areas you want them to focus on.

Second-grade has Spelling, Sight Words, Fast Addition, Fast Subtraction, Long Addition, and Long Subtraction. Again you can customize and remove areas you don't want the student to spend time on.

Third-grade has Multiplication, Division, Fast Multiplication, Fast Division, Spelling, and Sight Words.

Kindergarten has Addition, Subtraction, Spelling, Sight Words and Letter and Number Writing.

Lastly , Pre-School has Numbers, Letters, Shapes, Colors, ABC Phonics, and Counting.

In every grade level you can choose to leave all topics on or turn some off. As students move up in levels , support is slowly decreased and tasks become more difficult. Students are rewarded using a 'token economy system' where they earn virtual coins that they exchange for virtual fish which they can feed. My students are very motivated by their virtual fish aquarium and love feeding their virtual pets!

In addition to all of this, if you purchase the package with all grades you also get the math pack which you can customize for each studentto focus on the basic math skills they need to practice.

This is truly my all-time favorite educational app and I highly recommend it!

  • Great app

This app is very educational for my kids. I used the second grade level game to teach my child long addition and subtraction before he was old enough to learn it at school.

The kindergarten game is great for learning phonics reading skills, sight words, and early addition and math skills.

My only complaint would be the writing program. As a parent, you can just select to not use that program if you want in parent controls. I think there are lots of free apps that are better at teaching writing. For math and reading though, I find this app to be exceptional and far superior to other apps out there. For me, this app is an academic necessity.
