Description of SmallTalk Oral Motor Exercises

SmallTalk Oral Motor Exercises is a speech exercise video app. It is designed to help anyone who has suffered a stroke or a traumatic brain injury and presents with aphasia, apraxia, and/or dysarthria. It can also be used by individuals who present similar language impairments. The series of individual speech-exercise videos is broken up into lip exercises, tongue exercises, cheek exercises, jaw exercises, and soft palate exercises. You can easily rearrange the order of the videos or remove others to make it simpler to focus on key phonemes. Repeat each exercise as often as you would like. Then, reset the app to return to original settings. Reviews of SmallTalk Oral Motor Exercises

  • Excellent app

I use this app for my patients who need visual modeling. If the do well with this, I go to Lingraphica and get them a dedicated communication device to try at no cost. (Really). Their devices are great for communication and for therapy.
  • Stopped working....

Was fine with previous version, new one doesn’t even get to the list of exercises...

  • Needs Update!

This is a useful app for teaching oral motor movements. It also provides a solid base for a home exercise program; however, it glitches EVERY TIME it is opened and then shuts itself down after one exercise. Please update the software for this great app!
