*Important - As with any update there is a small chance that My List could be deleted, please make sure you have another copy saved elsewhere* The app has been updated with data from the new Trees of Southern Africa field guide which includes many photos of the full tree, new distribution maps, text and a bigger focus on the tree groups. We have also added lots of extra photos from Braam van Wyk, one of the authors. Other changes: Now a universal app - designed for both iPad and iPhone. Added a new alphabetic index that is sorted by species. Updated My Location to an interactive map that allows you to tap on a location or let it find your current location and only show the trees for that location. Updated user interface to iOS 7.

**Important - you may lose your "My List" in any update, please make sure that you have another copy elsewhere** Updated user-interface to keep inline with our other iPhone apps: Now you can just swipe across the screen to move to next or previous species. Single tap on tree images to expand them. Single tap on tree text to expand it. When looking at a species you can rotate the device to make the images/text expand to fill the screen (this also works when comparing). My List can now be exported to a CSV formatted file and emailed. Added the ability to change the language throughout the app, you can now view tree names in English, Afrikaans and Scientific. The name lists can also be viewed in either taxonomic or alphabetic order (according to the book). Added the ability to look up previous My List Locations when logging a species. Updated app icons to high resolution for retina devices. The app will now stretch to the larger screen on iPhone 5. Fixed various bugs and errors.

  • Options tab won’t open

Effectively a tree list on my iPhone. The options tab won’t open. Very disappointed
  • Impressive, but wish their was a scientific family, genus and species index

Impressive, but wish their was a scientific family, genus and species indexes. Difficult to find species using common names that vary from country to country. Contents is great.
  • Excellent resource

Easy to use interface and a large database. Could not be happier with this learning tool.
