The Michael Morcombe eGuide is now a fully universal app! We have taken the simplicity and ease-of-use that you have enjoyed on your iPhone/iPod Touch and expanded and redesigned the layout (not simply “stretching” it) to take full advantage of the larger screen area of the iPad while still being the same app that runs on the iPhone/iPod Touch. Also added the ability to delete the entire bird list (My List) and fixed various bugs and errors. *Please note this update is very large (about 350MB) and might take some time to download and the update could delete your personal bird list (My List), make sure that you have a backup before updating.

1.1.1

Passerines). ● A basic personal species list that stores your sightings saved to the device* (ability to upload list coming soon) ● A comprehensive help and introduction section to help you if you get stuck or don’t understand how a certain feature works. *Uninstalling/reinstalling the program will result in the loss of your list, it is recommended that you keep your own backup (master list) separate from the application. We invite all users to share their comments and ideas on our forum at www.mydigitalearth.com NB. This Application WILL ONLY work on an iPhone or iPod Touch running iOS V7.1 or higher NOT A NORMAL IPOD CLASSIC/NANO and the download is about 320MB.

Reviews of Morcombe & Stewart Guide

  • Can’t get the list to work.

I’m on an iPhone 14, and the feature to check box birds you’ve seen doesn’t work. Nothing is saved.
  • Best guide to Oz birds

No other Australian bird app field guide comes even close. The book this app is built from still beats all for speed and ease of use and density of information, but that’s because a single digital screen will never equal 200 pages of “screens”. Stop bashing the app and wait for the update to fix the app. Patience folks. This is software. :)
  • Latest update missing osprey!

    No osprey in IOC update!

    Developer Response

Good Day There were a few missing species in the IOC index with update V1.5, these should now be fixed in V1.5.1. Please contact us at support@mydigitalearth.com if you have any more issues. Regards
