Fixed a few issues with some species missing from the IOC index. Added What's New section. V1.5: Added IOC taxonomy switch to species index (found top right of Taxonomic Index screen), this will switch between the current Australian BirdLife taxonomy and the IOC taxonomy (for species currently in the app). Added IOC species names to species text descriptions. Updated some bird data. Added 142 new calls. Updated app for latest iOS devices. Fixed some bugs.

Changed the minimum supported iOS version to 7.1 to prevent an app crash in a future iOS update. Fixed a few bugs and errors.

Fixed a bug that caused layout issues when the app was started on iPads in landscape mode. The app now has a 'Gallery View' that lets you see a more detailed thumbnail of the bird.

*As with all updates please make sure that you have a copy of your personal bird list (My List) saved elsewhere as there is always a chance that is could be deleted in the update process* ● Added thumbnails to main bird lists. ● Added ability to display bird names in either English or Scientific. ● Added ability to save GPS coordinates in My List. ● Added ability to go to the species information screen from My List on iPads (already a feature of iPhone version). ● Added a button the Main Menu that allows users to contact us directly with any comments, complaints or suggestions. ● Added a tab that links to all the other apps developed by mydigitalearth.com ● Fixed various bugs and errors.

The Michael Morcombe eGuide is now a fully universal app! We have taken the simplicity and ease-of-use that you have enjoyed on your iPhone/iPod Touch and expanded and redesigned the layout (not simply “stretching” it) to take full advantage of the larger screen area of the iPad while still being the same app that runs on the iPhone/iPod Touch. Also added the ability to delete the entire bird list (My List) and fixed various bugs and errors. *Please note this update is very large (about 350MB) and might take some time to download and the update could delete your personal bird list (My List), make sure that you have a backup before updating.
