Homage done right!
I'm a huge fan of the classic game Rampart and this game captures that feel perfectly, while still adding it's own flavor to it. The online multiplayer even has chat support. Very cool! Hats off to the developers for putting an awesome spin on arcade favorite!DLaufman
Rampart Ways
This is a lovingly crafted reimagining of Rampart and that statement is coming from a hewg fan of the original. If it ain't broke, don't fix it seems to be the approach the team at Liv Games employed here and it was an excellent decision; the game plays beautifully, as it should. Repair your castle, place your cannons, and fire like crazy, just like you remember it. If anything, it may better than the original...
They've really managed to make it their own, with a new theme and characters, gorgeous interstitial comic artwork, and a slew of different weapons and units. Prepare to battle your way through Campaign Mode, Endless Mode, and Game Center Multiplayer, no less.
iPad owners will be thrilled to know that it's inarguably one of the best looking non-universal games there is, scaling beautifully to 2x. They've stated it will go universal at some point, and it will be nice to expand the battlefield, but I must stress that it's completely playable right now and it's only a buck! So worth it.
