Most Comprehensive weight app

I have gone through over a dozen weight management apps trying to find one that balances decent free options, but also additional premium features if you so choose to buy them. Most apps really restrict you if you don’t go premium or put up blaring, annoying ads, but calorie counter has is most user-friendly one that has minimal ads and doesn’t push the premium features down your throat, every single second like so many others. I love that it has a recently used foods item and does a comprehensive macro and calorie calculator for you that doesn’t require premium cost. I’ve been extremely happy with this app since I’ve been using it. Also, it has such an extensive database of name, brand, and restaurant based foods that you can pull into your daily calorie counting and the scan feature is by far the best I’ve seen.

Great app, terrible name

Does everything you need for macronutrient balancing and calorie counting! Wish they’d change the name as it feels shamey.

Great for a broad based macro and diet app

Really like the way you can track everything, works pretty slick.

Keeping Track

Finds a lot of the things I eat, Great community!

Helpful weight loss app

I’ve enjoyed using FatSecret to track my weight loss progress as well as plan my daily calories to reach my goals. In my 20’s, I was successful in losing 30+ lbs. by counting calories, reducing my portions, exercising more, and drinking more water. I have kept it off for the longest time. I’m now in my 70’s and I get back to watching my calories if I gain more than three pounds. I’ve only got a few pounds to lose currently but it’s still very useful. I even add my cheat calories - can’t feel totally deprived! It’s also necessary at times when my husband wants to go out or we are meeting friends out. I especially like the pie chart that displays the carbs, fat, and protein. The app also tracks your fiber intake which helps to remind me to include more fiber in my diet plans. The app includes a wide variety of name brands for tracking your food intake. It includes many grocery store brands and restaurants/fast-food chains. In the past I have used the exercise and sleep tracker, but I haven’t used the water tracker feature, although I’m a huge proponent for drinking water! I recommend this free app for your weight loss journey! Good luck!

FatSecret the best

I have been in the weight loss/gain lifestyle over 40 years based on the particular sport I participated in. In that time I was considered a bit of a nutrition expert, with several credits to my name. Now that I’m retired and still wanting to stay in shape plus the worlds endless obsession to exist off the end of a mobile phone, I found the FatSecret app to be superior in many ways to my own memory, recording data, having a virtually complete set of nutritional facts on just about every food substance know to mankind.

There is no doubt that this app is brilliant, it delivers exactly what’s on the label on the box. It doesn’t pretend to be anything else, that’s refreshing.

I throughly recommend the app, more importantly I use it for accountability and to keep on the straight and narrow. It’s a wonderful app and I believe professionals in clinics and hospitals should adopt it as their goto app, as well.

Excellent

Best app

Great app

The design of the app makes it very easy to enter data throughout the day. And when a specific food is not available, I can easily add it by scanning the barcode of the product or enter it manually.
Been using this app for 5 months straight now. Love it!

Yvr weight loss

I really like using the app. I’m more informed, and consciences of my eating. Highly recommend
