  • Tricky tracks

This game is wicked fun and very addicting. Sometimes you look at the next puzzle and think it's easier than the last and others have you ready to give up. Then, when you finally solve it, you immediately start looking at the next puzzle. I am definitely going to buy the full version of this app. Many thanks to the creator(s).
  • My new favorite game!

After completing all the available levels of Flow and Flow Bridges on my phone, I was looking for another logic game to challenge me and fill the few minutes I have here and there during the day to play games. I LOVE this game!!! The games are short enough to play while I wait for my teenager to get in the car or my boyfriend to run into the store; yet challenging and so addicting I will play for hours after the kids are in bed! I am hoping the boards get bigger and the puzzles get even more challenging. I will have to invest in an iPad soon so I can play longer! Thank you to the inventors of this game, I would give it 10 stars if I could!
  • Challenge, education, and entertainment all in one.

This app combines puzzle solving, creativity, color, increasing difficulty, interesting sound visual effects, and ease of use to make one of my all time favorite games. Rockin!
It's easy to try different possibility and outcomes so you can work your way to the final solution without pressure or frustration. Keeps anyone's attention that likes puzzles. The tutorials are easy to follow and give you enough information to combine your lessons with ingenuity for loads of addictive fun.
  • the trains are always on time

I'm glad I broke my rule of never downloading apps which haven't been updated in the last year. This puzzle game has a simple premise but is one of the most well-designed games I have seen. The tutorial explains everything clearly and with examples. This is a great app for children and adults to flex their mental muscles. I'm buying the pay-for version as soon as I'm done with these puzzles!
  • A very intelligent logical thinking game

Wow, this game is totally awesome. The difficulty is built up by layering on different 'bells and whistles,' so to speak, with each next level. There is a logical trick that you need to 'get' in each level and then you must engineer the solution so that the trains hit the right places at the right times. Hats off to the guy who made this game. I play a lot of logic-oriented games on my iPhone and this is one of the best I've encountered yet.
  • Top marks!

For anyone Who enjoys puzzles this is likely to become a favorite. It has a great progression and simple mechanics that add up to increasingly challenging scenarios, but without becoming near impossible. I loved watching the trains play out my solutions and was even rewarded by my own little sense of accomplishment upon solving the tougher puzzles. Download this game and enjoy a satisfying time that may lead you, as it did me, to recommending this game to others.
  • Addicting and Clever

At first this looks just like any simple and fun game that only keeps you interested for a few minutes. However, after those few minutes, a new quirk is introduced, making the game slightly more complex and much more fun. Keeping you in front of the screen striving to solve puzzle after puzzle, Trainyard EX will leave you amazed, astounded, and a little more clever than before.
    Kudos, seriously.
  • Utterly Occupying

I love the nature of this game. The rules and the marshaling of options within them. Similar to Minesweeper or Sudoku in the necessarily logical solution using a number of dimensions. My only problem, and it is big enough to lose a star, is that it isn't colorblind friendly. The reds, greens, oranges and yellows really throw me. I think if you made them more intense they would stand out and I'd see the difference in lightness and darkness which is how I usually tell when I can. Once I acquaint myself with a new set of colors in a game or whatever, green is lighter than red and orange is much lighter and yellow lighter still. Purple is lighter than blue. Usuallg but not always. That difference isn't even present here to be learned. But other than that I love it.
  • Different, Challenging, and Fun!

Months after the following review, trains remains one of my top 2 games.

I love this game! Matt was really "thinking out of the box" when developing it. I finished "Express," bought and finished the full game, went back through them both working out new solutions ... then I played the WHOLE thing over as Player 2 ... and now I've completed the "Christmas Update." I guess I really DO like this game! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.
  • Wild ride... Brilliant!

A deceptively simple-looking puzzle. Trainyard Express will test your ability to use logic, and can be a great way to hone space and time skills! (I can't wait to show this to some of my techno-phobic clients; it may very well help a few of them.)

Think outside of the box. ("Straight-thinking" can be boring and even less "productive.")

This app can actually be a stepping-stone to simple programming, or just a lot of fun!
