Doesn’t work outside of China
Trying to plan my itinerary for China as I booked a holiday. Once the app figures you are out of China it essentially blocks you. You can’t view the opening hours and details for the restaurants.
So annoying, why is it gate keeping all the details just because I’m not in China.

该不良公司在未取得相关合法营业证件的情况下擅自将一家宠物托运公司上架经营，而这个公司失手将顾客的宠物狗弄死，顾客找托运公司讨要他们的态度极其嚣张，于是找平台说只是能收集信息做不到惩罚商家而且并没有给这件事一个说法，态度极其冷漠
This unscrupulous company, without obtaining the necessary legal business licenses, arbitrarily listed a pet shipping company on its platform. The shipping company mishandled a customer’s dog, resulting in the pet’s death. When the customer approached the shipping company for an explanation, they were met with an extremely arrogant attitude. The customer then turned to the platform, only to be told that it could only gather information and could not punish the business. Furthermore, the platform failed to provide any resolution or explanation for the incident. Attitude was extremely cold and indifferent.

Needed for China but fake reviews
This app lets you discover different venues in Chinese cities (mainly) but unlike Yelp, this app mainly ONLY promotes good reviews. Most of the reviews in China are fake, businesses pay for fake reviews from different groups. They often put a pretty girl on the cover to get clicks. A spa that I recently charged a 1000 membership shut down over night, the business owner ran away, leaving all members holding the bag. No explanation. Phone number down - no customer service. “Welcome to China”. I tried to write a half a star rating and was rejected by DianPings corrupt system for “violation of usage rules” whatever the f that means. This app is as corrupt as its business registrants. So use due diligence when using anything Chinese. When everyone has 5 stars, you need to use some common sense on what’s actually good or bad. This app is a disgrace!

You can’t get result unless you are registered. You can’t registered without have a phone number. You don’t get a china phone number unless you have a china mainland ID. So you are at a dead end. No solution.

MALICIOUS TO FOREIGNER， DONT WASTE UR TIME
The app is powerful but they won’t allow you to register or search anything unless you had a mainland ID # and a cellphone associate with it.
I had a US cellphone number and the app won’t allow me to register. It becomes ridiculous that I spend an hour trying to register the app and an hour with their customer support but at the end it goes no where.
If DIANPING wants to be so vicious to foreigners so be it.
