miniVAN Touch is a mobile canvassing application that integrates with websites provided by NGP VAN. The miniVAN system allows users to export canvassing lists from VAN onto an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. Canvassers can then enter data into their device as they talk to people on their list. When the canvassers connect their device to the Internet over a wireless or cellular network, they can upload their data back to the VAN with the touch of a button. Administrative users on the VAN can then review the data and apply it to the database in one quick step. Canvassing with miniVAN allows NGP VAN clients to spend more time and resources on actually contacting people instead of on data entry. What’s more, it virtually eliminates the lag time between collecting canvass results and putting that data to work.

You need to calm down... on hitting the sync button. You can now check when the next auto sync will run on your list progress screen. Are you driving a getaway car to your turf? We've got you covered with easier links to driving directions in Google or Apple Maps. This update * Adds an option to get directions to your doors, you you'll see the option when you select a pin on the map, or when you press and hold on an address in list view. * Increases the frequency of checking for new team canvassing results * Shows the time of your next auto sync MiniVAN performs best when you let auto sync do its job and automatically sync all your data. Auto sync is enabled on most list, and will send your data back about every 10 mins (and check to see if there's any new data from your canvassing partner) Your MiniVAN team team is coping by writing Taylor Swift references in to the release notes and Dramione fanfiction (hit us up with recs). As always--- drink some water, eat a vegetable, and good luck on the doors.

Seriously guys you need to fix the Next Door function. This app was sending me from street to street instead of having me go to the next closest house. It would literally send me to a house that was a three minute drive away and then I’d have to loop around and go back to a house that was next-door to a house I previously was at. It’s incredibly bad, almost like it’s trying to be as difficult as possible for the user. Is it possible to have a map feature that will plot out all the places you need to go? at least this would let the person chart their own course when canvassing in an area they’re not familiar with. Honestly, I think this feature is so bad, you should strongly consider getting rid of it until you can fix it. Not sure how this past QA.
