Backyard Astronomy
As a hobby astronomer I enjoy observing the solar disk daily to keep up with CME activity. I take a small filtered telescope outdoors and make field sketches to identify active sunspots. Since this part of my hobby quickly becomes addictive, I feel like an alcoholic with no booze on cloudy days, yet this simple app keeps me from getting the DTs when I can't get outside due to bad weather. Without it you wouldn't want to run into me after a week of clouds! BTW, if you don't have a telescope or a solar filter, don't worry. The app identifies all active regions so you can stay informed until you get what you need. Backyard hobby astronomy is a great hobby and this is as good a place to start as any.Show less"mouse"

Great app, used to be.
I loved this app when I first got it. In the last month or so the EIT views have lagged by almost a week. I don't know if they are purposefully being delayed but it is a bummer for people who like to keep an eye on the sun. PLEASE FIXSome random person 31

Not quite what I expected. I assumed that the shots would be some what animated, and it's nice that there is a refresh option, but like I said, short of what I expected...OO7OOO
