This app is fantastic! I've always got tunes stuck in my head with no idea what they are. I can just play them into my phone and so long as they're not completely obscure this will give me the title and the dots. I've also come across some great wee tunes through their other suggestions.

Care needs to be taken in recording, if in a session try to get close to a strong clean player. Some instruments work better than others, flute is good. Latest version with horizontal dots is grand. Though not guaranteed to be right every time the App is a great aid to those who don't know one of those few people who can name every tune. Worth the money for the fun alone, and you have to admire the technology. It's the closest thing to having a computer think for itself I have encountered and this makes the wrong calls endearing.

Absolutely amazing
I am absolutely blown away by this app. Bought it, uploaded it to my iPad and starting picking out random (and not all common) tunes on my pennywhistle. TunePal identified every single one of them immediately. This is going to be extremely useful out in the world. Works both on the iPhone and iPad.
Great app for session players!
I decided to give the app a try, and I'm glad I did! It recognized most of the tunes I know quite well - for a few it didn't show the tune as the first choice, but it was always in the list of possible tunes. This will be a great tool to identify tunes that someone plays but doesn't know the name.

I got 100% accuracy on 6 tunes i submitted. This ap will revolutionise the process of capturing a tune at a session, getting the notation and being able to slowdown the tune for learning. Very smart ap and well worth the few quid. Brilliant
