Loved the app but they started pushing ads that are impossible to bare and long. After years of using Morfix I’m very frustrated- you have to wait 20-30 seconds sometimes for the ad to disappear. I’m already using google translate more and more despite their smaller vocabulary words options. Fix that please it’s a shame.

dictionary is superior, app needs some lovin’
The entries in this dictionary are the highest quality I’ve found. The website is ok, but the app needs some maintenance. Why not make a paid version, remove all the advertisements?
Adds
Why the f$&@ are there so many adds
Morfix is indespensable!
This program has it all. The nikudim for transliteration, also included are the several meanings for any word, the root of the word, often including frequently used expressions with a word, the valuable part of speech and/or verb binyan is almost always defined, and the older version has free vocabulary learning games. I wanted to review a five star, but lately the app shows a black screen with a turning dial. I am so thankful for this brilliant translater application. It is amazing, and there are no other translating applications which come near it! I think mine is blocked now or something.

Very good and very bad at the same time
The good: gives good translations with the differentiation between different variants of the words.
The bad: can’t translate a sentence, only one word at a time. App takes a VERY VERY long time to load. App crashes often. Many ads that get in the way.
Bottom line - use google translate instead until this app is fixed.

Best dictionary — Worst Ads
Morfix has an amazing treasury of words, often better than other dictionaries and translators, but the ads and pop-ups are so annoying that I rarely use Morfix any longer. I would pay for this app if it disabled ads.
Great dictionary, crazy pop ups
This app has a pop up add basically every time you look up a word. There doesn’t seem to be a way to disable them, and often times when you close them it activates the pop up! Sadly, there isn’t a better Hebrew dictionary out.
The ads are extremely intrusive
The app uses full screen pop ups that try to trick you into clicking on them by accident by sometimes obscuring where the x button even is. These ads pop up continuously including at the beginning of every session on it. It makes the app extremely frustrating, whatever the otherwise merits of it are. Morphix has a reputation for being the best hebrew-english dictionary, but that says a lot about the sorry state of hebrew-english dictionaries, in my opinion. Noticeably the app lacks an option to turn nikkudot on and off, example sentences, transcribed pronunciation for headwords, audio for headwords, and it also lacks usage notes like telling you if a hebrew word is particularly used by Israelis or in the jewish diaspora. These are glaring omissions of features and content that are common in professional and academic quality dictionary apps.
Despite unfortunately actually being the best hebrew-english dictionary out there, the ads really are the deal breaker for me. The moment I accidentally clicked on one and safari opened up to peddle something to me, was the moment I immediately deleted it. I will be using google translate from now on, and that's all I can recommend as a replacement. There just isn't a good dictionary app out there for hebrew-english and that's disappointing. Hopefully something better comes along. I'm not holding my breadth that Morphix will improve and reverse course on the adds, though. I would be willing to buy a professional version of this app that doesn't have ads, but that isn't on offer.

Ads
This app is ok when there isn’t a bunch of inappropriate ads popping up. Please fix this problem.
