  • Addicting

Clearing stages in this game is satisfying while avoiding being repetitve. The boss battles are a major contribution to the game's appeal (without which it would grow old all too quickly). My only qualm is that the player can only keep a single save at a time. This means that if you screwed up your build and you can't beat stage 100... Too bad, time to start over from stage 1. I, myself am only in stage 40 something, but I had to restart my first game because I didn't hire any repairmen and was punished a the stage 30 boss. My advice: buy the game and then make sure you get a repairman asap. The level 15 boss can be easily beaten with 1 repairman and nothing else. For level 30 boss, all you need (and potentially less) is 1 repairman, 1 archer with 3 arrows and level 2 power for your 3 arrows. I had 70k unused at this point so if you want you can go ahead and spend more, but I prefer going with the bare minimum so I can save food (and who doesn't like stockpiling mounds of cash?)

  • Level 300

Rediculous, obviously possible, but I think only 3 people have done it. Make the electric balls move faster or something, as they are always why I die! They move so slowly that they block me from shooting for at least 15 seconds, plenty of time for the enemies to destroy me.

If you won't speed them up or remove them alltogether atleast make them destroyable with lightning or paralysis arrows or something

  • Great game since the update!

This is a really fun and nice looking castle defense game. My one complaint was the old shooting system, which seemed glitchy. However, after the latest update, I have no complaints at all. The new system for shooting works perfectly. Thank you so much for listening to user requests. I hope you will add a lot more content and keep updating the game. How about another 100 original levels as an IN APP PURCHASE? I'll pay for good content!

  • Great game minus one factor

For everybody complaining about all the bosses before level 100, you're idiots! Learn to use some strategy, they're quite easy.

Only a couple of guys hide behind the squids tentacles, if you're not skilled enough to beat him with those guys alive get a fire mage to kill them or wind to just push them back for a bit.

Overall great game, everything is balanced to include the money earned and pricing of items. You'll never have enough money to buy everything and that's what makes it fun, you can start again and try a different strategy.

As for level 100, no matter how far you get you always end up with 3 lightning balks on the screen that prevents you from shooting ANYTHING making it so you die every time. Fix stage 100 and this will get 5 stars.

  • Great Game reminds me of Castle Crashers!!

Contrary to a few reviews I've seen, this game is really fun, entertaining, addicted and exciting. I do have to admit the bosses are a bit tougher then they probably should be, but if you spend your money in the right places it can easily become balanced. Now I would have to say this is the best game I've played on the iPod touch, but wish there was a better save system. If you would like to go back to, lets say, the first boss and build your arsenal a different way you have to restart the whole game to do so (unless the last save you made was the last boss). But this is only a minor annoyance and the replay value is very high even if you do have to restart every once in a while to redo your arsenal.

  • Fun, but flawed

This is a very fun game, when the design problems don't hamper it. Some glaring issues that are very frustrating at times:
    1) Poor touch controls at times. Launching arrows sometimes just doesn't register, and the button is so small it's easy to miss
    2) Difficulty. Hard games are fun, but since you CANNOT go back levels OR sell anything, if u are stuck on a level (Level 2 boss!!!) you are screwed. Game over.
    3) Level 2 boss. Very very frustrating, an example of needed redesign. Since you can't shoot through the front tentacles, water enemies just camp behind them pelting you until you die. Need to be able to shoot through them OR eliminate water enemies from that level.

  • Ok game.

Just started playing but seems like I'm moving through the levels ok. Alot of different weapons, etc. Took a few seconds to understand the controls. Gets busy later on gameplay. Not too bad of a game for this genre. At this time a 4 star but always subject to change later. Meaning it can go either way but like the game at this time.

  • Pretty fun but...

This game is pretty fun but there are still room for improvement. First of all, the controls are slightly bugged. its hard to press the arrow button over and over again and i dont rapid tap. it would fire arrows, and then none, and then non again... and then fire even though it shows the animation of reeling the bow. And even though the bosses are really challenging, some seem rigged like the second boss. When it shoots the impenetrable lightning ball when its at its third stage, you cant shoot anything at all. Its automatic game over. Other than that, this game is good for its price but pessimistic players should try the lite version first.

  • Really Grows on You

At first, I was really frustrated, hated the game, and couldn’t see why it was getting such good reviews. The main thing was the small button for charging arrows started off really unresponsive. But now after a few deaths and the first arrow upgrade, I realized it’s actually a lot of fun. The weapon buttons work well and it comes complete with a great upgrade map. Something about Dinosaur Slayer keeps me wanting to play another stage instead of putting my device down. I think it may be the urge to see the next available upgrade.

  • Keeper

A game I enjoyed a lot. Graphics for enemies are nice. Kind of reminds me of patapon. One of the finer Castle defense type games. They are still a few bugs like arrow does not shoot at time and the icons for ammunition need to be revamped, too small and I would tend to look at that part of the screen most of the time. Additional modes would be great but all in all a good decent game. An auto shooting option would be nice too. If the game improves on updates this will surely be another keeper.
