A gaming masterpiece ruined by an anti-preservation subscription model.
I’ve been playing Colossatron: Massive World Threat for just under a decade now, or rather HAD been playing. Heck, I still remember when this was a paid app on the App Store. Unfortunately, until recently there was no way to play this game until it was relisted on the store. My prayers had been answered!
Until I found out about the subscription model.
Halfbrick, the one mobile studio that I praised for not selling out like so many others finally gave in to the absolute disaster that is modern mobile gaming. This platform HAS the ability to create great experiences, but is often overrun with slop. Colossatron and many of its games stood out from the noise, only to now be locked behind a subscription model that’s a slap in the face to the gaming preservation movement and consumers.
You have a talented team and some great creations Halfbrick. Get rid of your anti-consumer subscription model and return mobile gaming to what it once was!
