Does what Both Photoshop and Illustrator Does!
Ok. So the title of this review is a bit of hyperbole, but surprisingly not by much. With this app I can add layers, text, drawings, and edit photos, etc. I use it mostly for practical purposes like creating maps, combining images, making signs, and basically adding things to photos. Sadly, I'm not an artist, even if I appreciate art, but this is by far the best app I've found that can do all of this on an iPhone or iPad. Awesome app.Show lessaguamaned

This is a really great app, I use it all the time. I love all the features here. I love it a lot :) I really like that I can use this app without wifi. But there is one thing that I recommend. When I first got this app, I was confused and I didn't know what to do. Maybe you could include a tutorial inside the app? That would be really helpful. Thanks!!Show lessAn artist who uses this app
Best art app ever
I use it all the time for edit ideas with my fine art or to test ideas for future paintings. Love it! UPDATE: time has gone by and I can still confirm that this is by far the best art app out there and I have used them all. Using it on my iPad pro to test art ideas. Most realistic brush response of any other apps, including the ones you hear the most about. Couldn't imagine not having this. Keep up the good work.Show lessLenore7283
Way the best Art App
The absolute best Art App there is , & there are many really good ones. This stands out - with so many great 'brushes/tools' & colours, infinite layers (& 'undo's) tool bars anywhere you like, slide bars for size & opacity, everything visible in several ways to suit your preference - or not visible. Loads of other facilities in the menus. Really easy to use too. (I've had an entire exhibition of iPad pics as gyclee prints & the quality is perfect) Its a wonderful app. Only the 'Pro' version supports the Apple stylus - again the 'sensitivity' has three settings & is beautiful.Show lesslinda kitson
Surprisingly smooth.
Been using as a sketch book, I know there's probably better apps for that, but this is surprisingly smooth and responsive. Easy controls and no problems so far. Could do with some extra default brushes but that's a minor detail.
Update: 2 years later even better with Apple Pencil, as close to photoshop as I've seen in an app. Lots of features.Show lessMongo2000k
Zero stars if I could.
This app is a very good app. A great app, a fantastic app! But unfortunately it did something that made me extremely mad. Maybe it was my fault, but the effort I put into my drawings being thrown out the window into a garbage bin on fire is too much for me. There was this drawing I was working on, it was by far the longest drawing I worked on, having at least 5 hours on it. When I went to add another layer, it said I already had enough layers. That's fine! So I went and tweaked some things so I could add another layer. I did that, and then my app crashed. When I went and opened it again, it would not let me on the app. I tried everything I could, but they all lead to dead ends. So I did the thing I dreaded the most. Deleting and re downloading the app. It's works again, but all of my works that I had yet to complete are all gone. Forever lost. So, if you're a simple artist, go for this app! AMAZING!
I'll admit, I was extremely hesitant to buy this app due to its price, however, I really needed a mobile art software. So, I decided to test my luck and purchase it. That was back in the summer of 2016. I still have that app to this day.
ArtStudio is, by far, the best art app on the App Store. I've seen people saying that Auto Desk and their apps are better, but nothing's ever clicked with me more than ArtStudio. I've given up Toon Boom, Photoshop, and FireAlpaca for this app. I absolutely adore it!
However, I own a Windows computer, so there's no way to get this beautiful creation onto my desktop. Perhaps if you guys gave a download link for those people who are not fortunate enough to have a Mac, that would be really good for me.
I love ArtStudio. Maybe you could make an animation program with the same layout and such with it. It would totally help me, because storyboarding on ArtStudio is kind of torture along with animating, but I can't leave the app behind.

Crashing a lot lately
This is REALLY a great art program — versatile and sophisticated — but for two things. Lately it has been crashing on a daily basis. I checked my usage, and I have plenty of available space, so that is not the reason for the crashes. The other problem is the frequency of accidental marks I make when an edge of my hand touches the screen, while I am zooming in/out, or panning around. A third (minor) quibble is that when I type in the emoticon /icon images in my iPad keyboard appear in one color, monochrome, and somewhat translucent.Show less0072012

This app is great, I usually don't write reviews, but in this case I certainly will!
Pretty much everything you could ask for, and more! The layers are extremely helpful, and so many brushes I was overwhelmed!
