Excellent new modules. It's nice to have photos, and the voices are very clear. It takes a little time to download but I think it is well worth it. My students ask for this app for a reinforcing choice they like it so much. These new modules are a welcome addition.
  • Best speech app I have downloaded so far!

Very impressed! must for all slps! Just wish there was a level four for older kids, that had more word tense choices when practicing correct usage of verbs pronouns prepositions ect. But overall best app for the money out there! Prompts :)
  • Buy it

    It's worth it
  • Please Fix Problem

Hi, I agree i like this concept but the bug is a problem and it needs to be fixed for the price I paid; its not worth the price if it doesn't work the way it should. This app would also be nice if you were able to have multiple individuals accounts that monitored individual progress.
  • Problems

Nice idea, but buggy. For example, the picture of a boy putting ketchup on his hotdog tells the child (my client) to keep trying (ie, you are wrong) even when the phrase is correctly sequenced (he's putting ketchup on his hotdog). These types of errors are not only bothersome, but they force you to restart the program, since you can't move on unless you get the correct answer, and the bug doesn't allow for a correct answer (yes, I tried all variations, even the obviously wrong ones!).

Please fix the bugs. Nice idea, and if it is fixed, I'll give it 5 stars.

  • Not worth $3.99.

Agh! These same animals again! I saw these same clip art animations in the "If You're Happy" song app. They're too large for the quality, not a consistent style, and to be honest, a little creepy! The background art is just terrible!!! Sorry, but I get so frustrated when people spend the time and money to make these apps and don't seem to try. Why would you charge $3.99 when you don't seem to have spent that on the art??

Also, while the concept is good, the sentences are a little too small to see, even on an iPad.

The ONLY reason I gave this 2 stars is because I appreciate that something like this is available. PLEASE put some effort into it, though!!!

  • Much needed app for speech therapy

As a Speech-Language Pathologist it has been difficult to find apps that actually works on language concepts. For the past two months I have been using the mobile education applications, sentence builder, story builder and question builder. These apps have helped my students work on multiple concepts such as story sequencing, sentence formation, grammar, answering “wh” questions and even articulation. Since these apps allowed the students to record their responses, I’ve incorporated language and speech goals into one lesson. I can have my artic students monitor for correct speech production, and my language students monitor their grammar. The best part about it is that the students are allowed to play back the stories or the sentences and we discuss the errors they made. It always becomes a teachable moment. My favorite part of the sentence builder and question builder apps is the data collection. The apps allow you to choose the level of prompting for each student allowing me to cater to each student’s individual needs. One of my students was so excited about sentence builder that his parents called me to get the name so that they could purchase it. Overall, these are great apps to use with children with language delays and have been extremely useful for my students with Autism. The immediate reinforcement the students receive after answering questions really helped them to stay focused. I would recommend these apps to any educator.

  • Not good for primary grades

I was hoping there was an audio option. I teach first grade and it would be much better if my kids could tap on the words or parts of the sentence as they were building it and hear it. Please think about adding this feature! It would make this app so much more useful for the primary grades. I would give this app five stars if the change was made! Thanks

  • Great but could be better

I bought this app for my 7 hr old daughter who is deaf. She absolutely loves it but when the visual reinforcement isn't there're she doesn't know that she got the answer right. This could be an invaluable tool for helping deaf children comprise their English skills but if they can't hear the praise they won't know it's right. Would love it where you cold select whether it's a visual reinforcer or auditory or both. I've shown it to several other deaf ed teacher and they saw the value if it had more visual reinforcers.

  • Good app, needs a few things

I teach elementary students with autism and have tried this app with several of them. I like the general idea. It's great practice for building sentences. Right now there are several words that the students must choose. If one of those words are wrong it prompts them to keep trying. It would be helpful if the correct or incorrect words were identified in some way so the students would know which word to fix. Another problem I see is that it asks for the students name at the beginning but it doesn't keep data based on this name. It just is a total for all the times the app is used until the data is reset. I would like to track the progress of different students. That would make this app even better!
