  • Better

This was a much needed update but there are still some issues! Namely there still seems to be a whole octave cut off! And opening from safari seems like a given at this point.
  • Cannot import midi files

I bought this app just so I could load midi files from my laptop or the internet and learn to play songs by watching the keys. Despite claims that such midi import is possible it simply hasn't worked for me. I've followed the instructions and it still doesn't work. For me therefore this app is completely useless. I want my money back!

  • Nice app and great for midi file uploads

That's why I bought this piano application: Just to be able to upload and listen to some old midi files. It works very well for that. Other functionality? I'm still exploring, but I am already very pleased. Recommended!
  • Exactly what I wanted

Is app is exactly what I was looking for: a midi song player that highlights the piano keys as it plays. Perfect use of the iPad screen, especially how it allows you to zoom in on they keys with the pinch hand gesture. Plus, an extremely simple way to upload your midi files. It even has a simple way to select the tracks you want played from the midi file.

It's a home run! I'm so happy I finally ran into it.

  • Close to being just what I need...

I'm a visual learner and use Rhondo on my Mac to learn complicated piano pieces from MIDI files. I love the fact that this program easily transfers MIDI files from my computer to the iPad, and shows the music playing on the keyboard -- EXACTLY what I was looking for! But... I have two problems with Piano sharp -- when you pause the music to examine a complicated set of chords, you can't stop exactly where you want easily using the playhead and even when you do get it just right by slowing the tempo down, the highlighted keys disappear after a couple of seconds. I think adding a fine-tuned scrubber control to position the playhead and keeping the played keys highlighted would be ideal. I'd also vote to optionally hide the second keyboard and show the notation or piano-roll representation of the score instead. With a few enhancements, this would be my favorite piano app.

  • Finally! Yeah!

A piano app that has gotten it right! I have tried all the piano apps offered and not one was really very good except this one. This app is great. Two keyboards with the top keyboard displaying almost 40 keys is a good idea. Also the ability to run your fingers over the keys and have them play as rapidly as your movement is something that many of the other apps did not know how to implement. No clicks or pops. Love the ability to slow the playing to a crawl for study purposes. This app just puts all the the right options together.
