I have been waiting for the updated version and it was definitely worth it. Fantastic idea, cleverly executed. This app will no doubt prove to be invaluable.

Illegal User
Great idea, but the absence of updates is a fatal flaw. Government
sites increasingly offer the legislation in PDF and web format, so think twice before buying, as legislative changes undermine the reliability of the App.

Great app but needs updating urgently would be 5 * if it was kept up to date
Disappointed
I brought this app to use in the field, sadly it is as much use as a chocolate tea pot. The app does not include EU regulations or subordinate regulations. Value for money? At £40 it is far from good value. It will be of little or no use to me.

Brilliant brilliant app
This is a wonderful app. The only two things I can think to improve it are (1) associated documentation to the legislation (2) better indexing of the legislation so that you can easily search for relevant documentation
A worthwhile investment
Having used iLegal Legislation for several months I can honestly say that it is excellent. I have access to every UK law wherever I am, whenever I want it - without even needing the Internet. Definitely a worthwhile investment.
Great app but incomplete
As a tax professional this app was appealing, so that I can check statutes on the go.
However, whilst this is good, it's not yet reliably usable. There are whole acts of parliament that just do not appear. EG finance acts appear some years and not others. Some tax statutes appear but not others. So its hit and miss whether it actually contains the statutes that you are looking for. It also needs regular updates - very little 2010 legislation appears.
In addition, this is primary legislation only - there are no statutory instruments or other published material - which is fair enough given the quantity of subordinate legislation, but undercuts its usefulness to a practitioner.
In summary, this is very good when it works, but it simply does not contain every full act of parliament - it is all very hit and miss, and that's why it only gets 2 stars. For £40 I expected something without these gaping holes.

Much improved
This version, v1.1, is very much better than v1.0. The application was too slow to be practical under v1.0 - I had very much hoped it would be updated, and it has been.
The application is now snappy, easy to navigate, and very useful.
A big thumbs up to the developer for seeing where the weaknesses lay and fixing them.
Would not hesitate to recommend to a fellow lawyer.
