I wouldn't go anywhere without this app. I have asthma and epilepsy and this app has saved my life more than I can count. It also helps others when you see them having a panic attack,or just need to calm down. Great for focusing. I would give 5000 stars if I could. Thanks for the great work for this great and awesome app.
Be your own sleep dj. As long as the app is in the background it will play your selection together with your iTunes music collection, while watching your downloaded movies, on the browser, or while playing games.
I enjoy the simplicity of this app and the quality of the sounds, however the music library option does not work. After selecting the play button it takes me to my iTunes library to select songs. All my playlists are listed (already downloaded to the iPad) but the photo icons are just white boxes. When I select a playlist the screen is just blank with no songs to select even though the playlists are full of downloaded songs. I may be missing something obvious, but I really think it just does not work.
This app is perfect for my job. Because of shift work and travel, my internal clock is sometimes off. The available sounds and blends allow me to drown out the ambient noise subtly, the beats let me fall asleep quickly, the guided meditations are great for quick relaxation, and with the alarm, all I need is my tablet.
This is one of my favorite apps in the store. I tried the free version, which can well stand on its own, but I highly recommend the ad-free premium: it's more than fairly priced for the amount of usage you'll get out of it. And trust me, if you are an ambience fanatic like I am, or like to occasionally chill out with background sound or music or both, you are definitely going to get hours of usage out of this app. I play various music and/or background noise while typing, crafting, Internet browsing, you name it. With the timer, it's a bedtime must-have. No functionality problems of any kind, just a continuous stream of relaxing sounds. I love it!
I enjoy using this but the pricing needs to change, allow for single ($.99-$1.99) purchases rather than limited time subscription, which means after purchasing "time" to use the meditations we don't actually own any of them after the subscription runs out (unless we throw down $20 at once)...not a fan of that...
I love this app. There are so many sounds to choose from, the combinations are endless! I love it even more with the recent update, allowing me to create playlists within the app-- no more switching to iTunes if I want to play songs as well! Wonderful!
EDIT (2017): I have been using this app almost nightly for years now. I really like the new update-- the new songs are lovely and relaxing, and I like the way the meditations work now. I still recommend this app to people, often!
I've been using this app for over a year now and it's so fantastic! The range of sounds is very good and so is the quality of those sounds. It's great to help create a relaxing environment. I love that you can customize by mixing and matching the sounds! This is the first app that I've been able to recreate the sound of rain on a roof with that actually sounds like rain on a roof. I also love the timer and alarm function. The latest update has been fantastic too. I love the new look and guided meditations. Fantastic for destressing and helping to reduce my anxiety.
...the recent update is quite nice. Happily, it didn't take long at all to familiarise myself with the new graphics and layout. As a tinnitus sufferer who can no longer sleep in silence, this is a true Godsend!! My iPad is more convenient to carry around with me when I travel, and I've even begun to use it at home since my last white noise machine pooped out on me. Thanks so much for this wonderful product!! :-)
This is the best sound app I've found. In all of the others I could hear when the loop restarted in each sound. That is not the case with this app. It would be nice if the sounds were grouped with some better organization rather than just randomly as it seems. Excellent app and worth buying the full version. Not sure why the meditation packs have to be purchased when I already own the full version anyway.
