Latest update randomly opening browser tabs
Used to really like this app but the most recent update randomly opening my browser with ads. Extremely annoying and considering deleting it … especially when a tab opens and sez it is scanning your device.OldmanDee
App has viruses.
This used to be a really good game to play, but now adds pop up randomly, opening up links in safari that contain viruses and other malicious content. Do not download!!!!!Jimbob2456
Used to be better
I’ve had this app for probably 10 years or so and I still go back to it. However, a recent update has spoiled the layout. The pen/pencil toggle sits in the wrong place and now covers the board, making it difficult to access the squares on the bottom right-hand side of the board. I don’t really understand how the developers could have made such an error and not noticed.

Disappointed to see that the above issue is still a problem. I had a assumed it was a temporary mistake but it’s clear there is no interest in making the game more playable by fixing it - I’m not the only reviewer to mention it.
My other issue is the adverts. I don’t have a problem with the adverts because I understand that’s how developers make money but what often happens is the timer for my game starts whilst the advert is playing. So I’ll spend ages repeatedly clicking ‘x’ to close an advert and it not working and when I can eventually escape the advert I can have lost more than 50 seconds because the timer has been counting unbeknownst to me. In a game I can complete in under 3 minutes, losing 50 seconds has a significant impact on my score.Show lessYemid

Easy to play when there's a vacant moment then stop and just go back and start again as once as I’ve got rid of those crappy adds for all the other games these people must make puts me off opening the appBill and co

Does what it should do! All levels of challenges and only one ad which is easy enough to close after a finished game.Skatetaxi
Long time player
Absolutely love playing this game and have for years. Never have updated, just continue with the original version. I’m not competitive so I do not try to do anything but enjoy playing… and teaching our grandchildren making memories of time together… This review is probably two years old and I am saying the very same thing, and still enjoy doing this each time I come to this app! I never tire of playing this game, especially this iPad app! 2023, March…
Oh my goodness! Here we are April, 2024, and I still continue to play this game and continue to enjoy the fact that I’m not competing with anybody but myself! And best of all, I still give it to deserve five stars because it fits me just fine. I have enjoyed teaching the grandchildren how to play using this very same program.Show lessGamma 🥰
Really good app, but not hard enough
Y’all need to consider either revamping your hard/ expert levels or adding another level of hard. All because for me the difference between hard and expert level is that i have only 1 loss on hard level and 6 losses on expert level after 3 years of play. I haven’t had a loss on the expert level in like 2 years. I’ve played well over 1000 puzzles in just the last 2 years.
If i had to give you guys a recommendation then i would scrap the hard level and call your current expert level “hard”. I say so because my best times to solve the 2 levels are only 30 seconds apart. Not enough to set the two levels apart in a meaningful way. At least the bottom 3 levels have an appreciable difference in difficulty. In keeping with that appreciable growth in difficulty add another level or two of difficulty to the new and improved “expert” level.
Otherwise i like the app. It’s robust, i can play offline while in a weak signal area, and it has a pleasant visual. Thanks for your hard work.Show lessJoefromravenna
Still won’t work after reinstalling
I’ve had this game for years and it’s my favourite sudoku, perfectly designed, sensorily pleasing and all that. But now, for the first time ever, it doesn’t work! It just crashes straight away. I have iPhone 6, iOS 12.5. Please help! I don’t like any other sudoku.Faerion

This is the very best version I have tried. I have used it for many many years.
I have tried lots of other versions. I have stopped using it several times in the last couple of years. I always have to come back to it. The ONLY reason I ever stop using it and try other versions, Is the persistent insistence of having the adverts! I would BUY this version if I could! I really enjoy it!

Notes button in unhelpful place
When using the app in my phone the little pencil icon to change to notes mode is situated over the top of the squares in the bottom right hand 3x3 square making it very annoying as the app either changes mode when I want to enter my final number choice or selects a square when I want to change mode.
Any chance of moving the mode change to a position that doesn’t interfere.
